-Apologies for the wait, but I haven't had a lot of time lately. Anywho, here comes another turning point chapter! New stuff about the enemy is revealed, and a familiar character makes an appearance. Enjoy!

My head was in utter chaos, and I hated it... but I also loved it.
I waited while Nibbler did her business, my back to her and a tree between us to give her privacy. She couldn't care less about privacy, as proven by the many times she watched me do my business, but I insisted I gave it to her. Even still, I battled against the urge to turn around and look at her as I had been for hours.
I was the definition of a nervous wreck. Nothing in my head made sense, as it was an impossible tangle of powerful emotions that were very uncomfortable and unnerving yet also surprisingly addicting.
Just like my mother, Stormfly, Nibbler's presence now destabilized my control and left me feeling very vulnerable. The difference between Nibbler and Mom, however, was that I hadn't fled from Nibbler yet to regain control—mostly because Nibbler didn't let me escape whenever I tried. So, exposure to that uncomfortable influence for longer had some... strange effects on me.
It didn't linger only in my head. It spread, unraveling my emotions in my core and body as a whole. I'd become impulsive, more so than usual, and my body felt weightless and pulled along by an invisible string toward something unknown. I inexplicably gravitated toward Nibbler more often than not just to get more of that feeling I loved and hated. It started similarly to how Mom affected me, but the longer I was by Nibbler's side, the stronger its effects were. By now, I knew they were good feelings, for the most part, so I did my best not to avoid them for Nibbler's sake.
A purring dragoness slipped up against my right, startling me, only to lean in to nuzzle and lick her face. Nibbler giggled and evaded my tongue by dipping her head under my jaw, then followed through with the whole length of her spine as she stepped forward. My eyes fluttered until her tail tip finally flicked my chin, stirring intense, chaotic sensations in my body. Despite the discomfort, I held strong.
Unconcerned with how I looked, I bolted to my paws and bounded after her, pressing our sides together and showering her head in licks again. Her purr deepened before I felt her tail hook around mine, then smoothly twist them together from base to tail tip, turning the chaos in my body almost violent—
I staggered away, wrenching our tails apart as panic welled up in my mind. Too much! I couldn't handle that much at once! I gasped for breath, trapping those drowning feelings and forcing them away to a place that couldn't harm me.
~Vaskr...~
I whined pathetically, stumbling away from Nibbler again when she approached. I needed her to back away! She would only make it worse! Wasn't a few hours enough?!
~Vaskr!~
"No! No!"
I couldn't escape in time. Nibbler tackled me, forcing me down onto my belly in a pile of dry leaves. She laid on top of me, licking my head gently. ~Let them flow. It's okay, I'm here. Breathe.~ Her touch crumbled the fragile control I'd scrounged up, releasing the flood once more.
Gradually, I grew reaccustomed to the wild sensations rushing through my body and mind, which spiked with every pass of Nibbler's tongue, despite my surging panic. After what felt like hours, my panic had faded, returning me to my strange state.
~Sorry.~
"I asked you to," I reminded her softly. "I-I have to... feel."
Her conflicted whine was loud in my ears. ~But you sound so scared every time. It makes me feel bad.~
