-Hello, hello! I don't want to say anything to spoil stuff in this chapter, so I'll skip that part. In other news, I've finally opened up a little more free time, so hopefully, that means chapters will be closer together in the future.

In the meantime, enjoy!

The dim trees concealed us from spectators, giving Nibbler and me the privacy she needed to talk about her true feelings. I tried to look as understanding as possible while showing her that I felt deeply for her. At least it wasn't too cold out tonight, and even the night life continued on as usual.

She mumbled something I didn't hear. "What?"

Nibbler turned her head to look me in the eye, her red gaze oddly soft yet still harboring fear. "I can show you," she repeated a little louder, sounding small and vulnerable. "I-I let go... let see... and you tell me if same?" She looked scared of what I'd see as if she wasn't certain what would happen herself, but she still wanted me to know. This could either end good or bad.

Despite my uncertainty, I smiled and nodded. "It's okay. You can show—"

In the blink of an eye, Nibbler's head darted forward, planting her muzzle on mine. Honestly, part of me had hoped for this, but I never could've expected it to be so intense. My legs turned weak, and I stumbled to the side away from her before toppling to the ground, but Nibbler chased after me.

We were only apart for a second before she pounced on me and kissed me even harder, paralyzing me. When we ran out of air, she slipped her mouth down to alternate between licking frantically under my jaw and nuzzling my throat, her breathless whines filling my ears while we fought for air. She was all over me, running on pure emotion that made me hopelessly dizzy.

My Soulmagic practically sang to her, making my eyelids flutter as whines burst from my throat, too. Powerful sensations thrashed in my chest toward her, the purple light illuminating our surroundings getting significantly brighter.

Then, we were back at it again, the fire in my heart roaring hotter as my claws scraped her scales again, which were almost scalding to the touch. But Nibbler only seemed to want more—

A crackle made my eyes fly open to Nibbler's glowing face, then dart up for an upside-down view of a roaring fire. CRAP! Crapcrapcrap!

I let out a terrified yelp and shoved Nibbler off me, scrambling to my shaking paws to stamp out the hungering flames rapidly burning up the dried leaves coating the forest floor. Even Nibbler realized the problem a moment later, helping me put out the flames before they reached the trees and burned down the whole forest.

After frantically running around and stomping out the fires, we both stood panting in a scorched clearing of our own making. I gulped and looked at Nibbler, whose body still shimmered with heat, but her wide eyes were already on me, and a massive blush covered her face. I blinked and looked down, seeing an unexpected surprise.

I hastily dropped my rear to the ground and spread my wings over my legs. I smiled sheepishly at Nibbler, my face burning fiercely. "Eheh... Oops." She didn't respond.

The silence was deafening. Not even the nocturnal animals made a sound, likely frightened by the fire.

I dared not budge until the thing was fully hidden, watching Nibbler nervously. She stared at me, unmoving aside from her heavy breathing. I wanted so badly for her to say something, anything. Even after the problem was gone and I slowly folded my wings, Nibbler stared at me. It was very awkward. I noticed her flank was lightly bleeding from several short claw marks, but I wasn't brave enough to mention them.
