I walked through the halls of hell, otherwise known as school. why do they force us into school? I'm not gonna need to know a Spanish timeline of wars when I'm famous and in a band.

as I was opening my locker to grab my books, I heard ashton telling michael about some girl he banged last weekend. I didn't really care to hear the dirty details.

calum was talking to some girl that I've never seen before. she had gorgeous brown eyes and dark brown hair. how have I not seen her before? surely a girl with looks like that would've caught my attention before.

I was trying to hide my obvious heart eyes over the stranger, but all of my friends were laughing at me anyways. I was too busy staring at the beautiful girl talking to calum to notice what they were saying.

I continued to stare aimlessly at her, until michael punched my arm.

"mikey, what the heck?" I rubbed the sore area on my arm.

"maybe if you were actually paying attention to this conversation instead of checking out some girl you wouldn't have been hit." michael said.

"I'm sure that winter wouldn't be pleased to hear that you were checking out some other girl." said ashton.

"I wasn't, Jesus Christ! let me live." I murmured.

"what'd I miss guys?" calum said as he was walking over to us.

"oh, just a discussion about luke checking out that totally hot girl you were talking to." ashton replied.

"oh her? she's in my history class and I borrowed her notes. I was just returning them. I don't even know her name." calum said. I was very relieved by his answer.

"Well lucas here has serious heart eyes for her." said ashton.

"I do not! I just think she's pretty. and stop calling me lucas." I said, walking to my next period.
