"I have to be home by dinner or else my parents will actually kill me. I haven't eaten dinner with my family in a few weeks." luke's eyes were glued to the road.

"yeah, yeah. don't worry about it, babe. you'll be home." my heart still fluttered when he called me babe. he doesn't do it often.

"where exactly are we going?"

"you'll see." he mumbled.

we pulled up to this river with a huge waterfall and lots of rocks. it looked like something out of a magazine.

"hope you know how to swim." luke laughed.

"I didn't bring my swimsuit." I said as I got out of the car.

"you're wearing underwear right?" my cheeks burned a shade of red. luke took off his shorts and shirt, exposing his torso. I knew he was in good shape but I've only seen him shirtless a few times. 

I took off my jeans but I kept on my shirt. luke was already halfway in the water.

"is it cold?" I asked.

"just come in. it's okay once you get used to it." he said and I stepped in. the ice cold water sent chills throughout my body. I got fully wet and now I was shivering.

"where'd you find this place? it's beautiful." i said, admiring the view in front of me.

"cal and I used to come here sometimes in middle school. I thought you might like it." luke said. it's amazing how well he knows me.

"holy crap, it's so cold." I saw, wrapping my arms around my body.

"come here," luke extended his arms out towards me and I walked over to him. just by his touch my body started to gain some heat back. we stayed like this for a few minutes.

he finally broke the peaceful silence. "I don't think you understand how happy you make me." he said quietly.

"I'm really happy you sent me that text when you were drunk." I said and he giggled.

"before I met you, my life was a mess. the boys and I partied to make up for how we truly felt inside. I slept with random girls and drank a lot. you made it all better. you make me so happy. now calum's even got a girlfriend. who would've guessed that? I am so lucky to have you, winnie."

I was speechless. every day, Luke finds new ways to make me fall for him even more.

after a couple hours, we were in luke's car driving back to my house.

"can I put on a song?" I asked, grabbing his phone. he nodded. I must admit, luke got me addicted to twenty one pilots. I selected the album vessel and the opening chords to 'migraine' started to play through the car.

"I love this song." luke said, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel.

but I know we've made it this far, kid.

luke quietly sang. he always complains about how he's a terrible singer, but I think he's really good. I love it when he sings to me and get embarrassed afterwords.

we pulled into my driveway and I stepped out of the car. my parents greeted us at the door. for once, my dad didn't look like he wanted to kill luke.

"I must say, I'm impressed that you brought her home on time. perhaps I've gotten the wrong impression of you." my dad said.

"that's good to hear. I didn't mean to make you hate me or anything." my dad laughed. a real laugh. the kind that causes your eyes to squint. he hasn't laughed that hard in a while. I gave luke a quick hug and he walked back to his car.

"winter, I do approve of him now. even though I still think you can find a better boyfriend, if he makes you happy, I'm okay with your relationship." my dad said. I ran up and gave him a huge hug.

"that means so much. I love you!" I said.

now that my parents both approve of luke, I think I'm ready to take our relationship to the next level.

i saw 5sos a few days ago in tampa and ashton and luke got haircuts and they all looked so happy michael and calum couldn't stop smiling i love them so much i miss it so much & they joked about it being the 69th show and they swore alot and 3/4 wore tank tops wOw i love them
