It's like a vortex when I tried to reach for it but the moment I touched its luminous and mercury-like texture, it disappeared. I was left in awe and I couldn't believe what I saw until today...
Sister Teresa, what are you doing here alone?, Sister Chelsea said and smiled at me. Ah well I just couldn't figure out what I saw a couple of days ago in our cellar, the old community building we were supposed to live in since the civil war began against Canudos and the Brazilian government happened. Well, you don't need to worry about it since we all wonder why we are here and some of us came from the future and the past, that we aren't sure where and when we happened to appear and stayed in this time because we are destined to. Maybe the universe is fucked up and that we are living in a crazy world after all, sister Chelsea added and shrugged.
Hmm...fucked up! Well, if it is, I don't really want ot be a part of it!, sister Teresa sighing.
Aha, but you are a part of it already, you are here now and defending every little souls we rescue or fight for in Favela, more over the world, when the portals open up and close whether here or anywhere in the world.
You got me there, hell, okay, let's go now, it's about time for dinner!, sister Teresa said and tapped the dirt on her skirt on top of a fitted pants to go along with the outfit.
It was December, 1980, when Christmas was about to come, and the Canudos tried to take our food and enslave, rape our women. The late Commander Gonzales was the head of the militant group who is a fierce leader but didn't have control over his soldiers that they did everything in their power to loot, molest our women or girls and disrespect even the sisters or brothers serving the Lord.
He died due to an ambush set by his enemy, General Mendoza, who was the newly appointed military head for the Brazilian Army during those chaotic time in Favella community.
We were not scared but we were worried about our children and the poor we were helping that the food supply we gathered and were given by our benefactors and donations from churches all over were to be looted and wasted on senseless and heartless militants. But we were saved by someone, a commander named Fonsi, and he was the successor of the former head of the Canudos. And about a year, now, he is still protecting us but until when? Sister Beatrice came to us in the light of helping and making this organization rise up to ashes and despair. Commander Fonsi came again thus respectfully protected the sisters yet held something deep within him, his love for Sister Beatrice, who left him to serve, love the Lord and not him. He was devastated and hated God for his love chose to be with the spirit and not a human, him.
Fonsi regretted that day when he came in to ask for food from the sisters of St. Clare in Favella. It only made him beg and felt defeated since he needed supplies and their head who finances them inside the government didn't follow through with their deal, so they ended up hungry and as if lost the war even before it started.
Haaa...that creep! He told us that when we move forward and get hold of the front, we will be given compensation. The money he promised is not in my account. How can we go on without food and weapons. Haaa....I will kill him and cut him into pieces, Fonsi thought and punched his wooden table which held a mark of his fist right away after it.
Sir, we can't wallow on this and need to think of ways to fight in order to save the people at the front!
Yes, I know, Sergeant Banes! Go and use my account for the money we need for food sand artilleries. I'll need to work something out then, when the need arises. Scrape all my schedules for the day and we will buy, pay the sisters of St. Clare back with the food and supplies we took from them!, Fonsi added.
Sir, yes sir!, Banes said hand on his forehead, smiling. Sir, if you don't mind me asking, Do you like Sister Beatrice? I can't help but notice, you kept on looking at her though she doesn't seem to recognize or know you at all?
Why don't you keep your mouth shut and let me worry about that. It's none of your business anyway! Right Sergeant!, Fonsi said.
Ah yes, sir, forgive my intrusion. Thank you and I will do as I was told and work on the supplies right away!, Banes said and left the commander seated on his chair. And please send someone to fix my table!
Yes sir!
Aha....Beatrice, even if I wanted to forgive you or let things go, I couldn't. It hurt so much that I can kill you. You made me look like a fool and I shouldn't have asked you to marry me when all you did was betray me! I was a fool to....ahhhhh. But why is it that I still can't forget you. I am still in love with you! Ahhhhh.....haaaaa!!!!!!, Fonsi sighed and closed his eyes remembering Beatrice's smiles and sweetness.
It was the time when she and him were in high school. Kyle Fonsi is a graduating student at La Salle and Beatrice Summers ( Fil-Am girl) transferred to the school as a third year student. She is shy but beautiful. Many boys in the same year and the graduating students admired her a lot. Beatrice is not only great in taekwando, volleyball but she is also an outstanding student. Her grades are higher than Kyle's that many boys would flock in her room just to check her out every day. He felt jealous and wanted to get to know her but as if she is too much for him. Then, one time, after a volleyball game, Kyle saw Beatrice coming out of the ladies quarters seriously. Kyle was pushed by his best friend Sancho that he almost fell on the girl but Beatrice caught his arm and pulled it to her that they both fell on the ground, Kyle on top of her. Ahhh.....sorry, Beatrice! But I'm Kyle, nice to meet you!
Ahh....hi!, I'm
Beatrice, yes I know and a lot knows who you are!, I added holding her hand.
Ah.. can you please, get off me, I can't breathe!, Beatrice said taking harsh breaths under Kyle. Oh, I'm sorry, yes, okay!, he said pulling out of the girl and helping her up, now.
Good, okay, bye!, Beatrice said and left me hanging. Sancho ran up to me and laughed since the girl I liked ditched me. After that whenever she walks or come across me I pretend that I didn't see her and always looked at her with admiration from afar. I was a hottie then and many girls anted to date me, even asked me formally but I always say no, since my heart belongs to someone already and it's Beatrice. Who, for a fact, doesn't care about me, at all.
Hi, you are Kyle, right!?, Beatrice said. We are having a benefit for the children of the slums this Saturday, would you and your friends come? Here are the tickets for the said event, we will see you, then, okay?, she added and leaving me again with the tickets and the smile that I can't get enough of, or you can just kill me now so I won't fall in love with her again and again.
Hey bro! Tickets?, Sancho said wondering what are those.
