Yeah, I think parallel worlds do exist and maybe we are already living in one, right?, Beca said and smiled at Paula who giggled when she thought of the craziest thing about what her superior mentioned.
Maybe, it's because you are from the future or maybe from the past, Beca?, Paula added and came closer to sit next to me on the table.
Hmm....maybe!, Beca cried and looked outside of the window while the moon is in its full glory this time of night.
I don't hate anyone, nor have discriminations whatsoever, and being the head of St. Clare year 2000 is the craziest when the news about Y2K and then viruses on computers started popping up like mushrooms on social media. Though the internet isn't that fast enough like the 21st century, we still confronted issue after issue regarding it. Haaaa...., Paula sighed and threw the newspaper to the trash bin. I know Teresa and Jona are on vacation what are we going to do now that Greta and the other sisters are working in the farm and the orphanage, school?
You know you need to calm down Paula, I never thought that you're this impatient! We can settle this through dinner maybe, how about at Lala's diner?, Beca said with a smile that truend into sadness.
I'm sorry, I know it's been hard for you when Nana passed on, Kyle must have been so devastated huh?, Paula replied and now walking to hug me when I stood up and tried to look at my window to check on the beautiful moon setting up high in the sky like a bulb lighting the dead of night.
Yeah, well, thanks but I am good now. I talked with Kyle and he is glad for me to arrange everything and made Nana's wake a memorable one. Maybe, we can just walk outside and breathe some air, I kind of miss it since we have been very busy with the harvest and all! Right?, Beca added and smiled at Paula who nodded in approval.
You know we can buy tractors for the farm and since we have volunteers to help us anyway we won't be short with staff. Maybe we can add a bakery and a campsite for the visitors and benefactors when they want to spend time with the kids or us?, Paula added with sparkles in er eyes.
Maybe you are right! Let's do that, that would definitely attract more people to visit Favela and our townsfolk can benefit from that too, hmmm, you're really good at this, Paula haha...thanks! Beca replied and took Paula's hand grabbed it so they can go outside the community building for a walk in a peaceful but happy night, tonight. Greta, Fern, and Chelsea went to the Muzik Festival in the town center to watch bands Mayor Fonsi invited to celebrate Favela's 150 years of Independence. There are lots of food stalls and shops where people can buy all sorts of things, from hats, jewelries, shoes, toys to groceries, fruits or sweets, etc. Teresa and Jona love Favela Fiestas and they would have joined the celebration if they hadn't gone their home towns for their scheduled vacations.
Jona would drool over the pasta, pizza and tortilla if she's here haha!, Beca said giggling while walking and checking on the fireworks that are now lighting the skies along with the lone moon in its full beauty.
I bet and Teresa would love to buy all sorts of trinkets and give them to us or the kids at school, haha!, Paula added and both of us laughed together missing our sisters now.
Hmm....what a beautiful night, look, wow!!! The fireworks are awesome! I love them so much when I was a kid and until now they still make me so happy!!!, Beca shouted since the fireworks are so loud Paula couldn't hear what she's talking about.
Yes, I love them too, ahahhhhhh....wowwowowo!!!, Paula replied her mouth still pen in awe of the magical lights flickering and lighting both of their night away.
How I wish that we can be like this always, happy, unbothered and calm, with no dark spirits or dangers, plagues or wars to ruin it!, Paula said running towards the seaside at the far end of the school, we can already see the river system flowing discreetly through the sea beds maybe outside of Brazil or wherever it wants to go to, free, wild and happy.
Well, as Shadow Sisters we can only expect for the worst but we are always optimistic and things are going well since the U.S. has signed a peace treaty along with European Union and the ASEAN seemed okay with the united efforts done by nations to uphold the good and peace towards countries and the world. We can only trust the process and let them decide what their next move is concerning the war at Iraq, Afghanistan and whatever country needs saving now adays, Beca said and looked at Paula who held her hand and squeezed it. Paula and I are fond of each other and our friendship has grown stronger that when I feel her being this sweet to me is far more than a friend could ever ask for. I think I love Paula and this love is more than the affection a normal girl would give to her friend. I think I love love her and when Paula looked at me, she smiled and my heart melted thus did the unthinkable and kissed my sister on the lips after.
Paula was shocked of course and pushed me after she realized that we kissed. This was my first time to kiss a girl and I liked it.
Beca?, what .....,Paula said and I squeezed her hand and moved them to cup her cheeks. I kissed her again and she didn't object, instead Paula pulled me towards her and kissed me like she didn't want to let me go. Things in the world is starting to go crazy but kissing my best friend sister at St. Clare is the wildest thing I have ever done in my entire life. As a lay person though we aren't allowed to get married or have relations with another sister or brother in the community. We can marry if we want to leave the service. Though there are sisters or brother who married or have partners while in service, it just made things and serving God, people harder. Since having partners inside the service complicates decisions and the service itself for we need to focus on helping those given to us to guide, provide and care for that snatches time, effort and power caring for our community and our family at the same time.
The sole reason too why priests and nuns are celibates so that it won't meddle and divide their time and service to God and his people.
