I took a shower, fixed my hair and makeup but I just couldn't decide on an outfit.
Were we going to somewhere fancy or was it just something casual?
I was standing in front of my suitcase with a towel around my body and grabbed a dress out of it. A dress could never hurt, no matter what the occasion.
But before I could put it on, there was a knock on my door. Fuck, he was early or was I late?
I quickly walked to the door, holding my towel around my body.
Lewis wouldn't mind seeing me like this, he probably saw me as just a little sister.
"Hi Lewis, I'm so sorry-" I said as I opened the door, but it wasn't Lewis. "Lando"
I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Why was he stalking me?
"I am sorry, I don't have time" I said as I wanted to close the door again but he put his hand against it, holding it open. "Lewis? Are you waiting for Lewis like this?"
"No, I was putting on a dress" I shrugged it off. "But you wanted to open the door like this" he looked at me up and down.
"Yes Lando, I am not naked" I rolled my eyes. "What are you doing here anyways?"
"I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to dinner together but I see you already have plans"
Why was he acting jealous? He literally cheated on me, I made it clear that we were over and done.
And Lewis was a friend, nothing more.
"Yes I do, I'm already going to dinner" I said. I wanted him to go away because I wanted to put some clothes on before Lewis would arrive.
"And if you don't mind, I would like to put some clothes on" I said as I, once again, wanted to close the door.
He put his hand against the door again and nodded. "Amazing, I'll wait inside" he said as he walked in behind me.
Wait inside? Why does he wanna wait inside? Whatever, I didn't have time for this so I just let him.
I grabbed my dress and walked in the bathroom. I never put a dress on this fast, I was expecting Lewis to arrive pretty soon and he wasn't gonna be nice to Lando.
I walked out of the bathroom and let my hair fall down on my shoulders.
Lando was sitting on the edge of the bed and his eyes locked on my body.
I could feel his eyes glide over my body. "You're so beautiful" he mumbled.
"Thanks" I said. He got up from the bed and walked to me. "Please River, go to dinner with me, not with him. Give me one chance to explain, give me one chance to try and make it better"
I looked at him. He was so handsome, so cute. I was so fucking attracted to him.
To his looks, but not to his personality lately.
Even though I used to think his personality matched perfectly with mine. He used to be funny, sweet, caring.
He used to be everything I wanted, until he cheated on me and if I was honest, even before I knew he cheated. He was so different lately.
Should I give him a chance to explain or should I kick him out and go to dinner with Lewis instead?
