We arrived in Monza a couple of days ago. Lando did his media day yesterday but I stayed in our hotel room.
This pregnancy was getting smooth, until now. I felt tired and nauseous all the time.
We didn't want to tell people just yet, even though there were already gossips and whispers around the paddock.
"So when are you gonna tell Christian about everything?" Max asked as we were standing in front of the hospitality.
It wasn't as if I didn't want to tell him, I wanted nothing more. I wanted to ask him to give me away on our wedding.
"Soon, I just don't want him to freak out" or tell the entire paddock about it.
Even though he tried pushing me into Max's arms, he couldn't be happier that I was dating Lando, especially since he signed for Red Bull.
Since we both signed for Red Bull. A little Red Bull baby, he was definitely gonna be happy about it.
"Baby" Lando put his hand on my back and quickly pecked my lips before shaking Max's hand. "I have to go again, marketing stuff" he rolled his eyes.
Max sighed, probably because he had to do the same thing. They hated it, but a little less now they could be silly together.
"Just wanted to remind you how beautiful you are" he mumbled on my lips before walking away with Max.
"So did you say yes?" I quickly looked behind me to see who was asking me that question, even though I already had a pretty good idea.
Christian was standing in front of me with a smile on his face. "Excuse me?" I tried to buy some time. I didn't know if someone told him or if he was just guessing.
"Lando actually asked me for permission to marry you" he said proudly.
I hated Christian for a long time, I had no idea why, probably because I thought he wanted to replace my dad and I was a little brat.
Christian did replace my dad, he saved me, in every way possible.
I smiled as I showed him my ring. "How could I say no to someone who has the balls to ask you for permission" I chuckled.
He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me. "I am so happy for the both of you, you deserve it"
"Thanks Christian" I smiled.
"I am taking Lando and you to dinner tomorrow, for your birthday" he said as he grabbed his phone, probably to text Geri the latest news.
Christian was the biggest gossiper in the paddock.
"You know I don't celebrate my birthday" I sighed.
I can't remember the last time I celebrated it. Probably when my parents were still alive. I just refused to celebrate my birthday without them.
"But I celebrate your birthday and I'm sure Lando wants to celebrate that too" he said but didn't wait for my answer, he just walked back in the hospitality.
Lando didn't even know when it was my birthday. He asked a few times but I always said different dates and Lando being Lando, forgot about the previous date I told him.
He would forget his own birthday if people didn't remind him of it, so I didn't blame him.
I was actually happy he forgot about it.
But now Christian was gonna ruin it, so I had to tell him before Christian would tell him.
I was just staring ahead when Georgia and Oscar walked passed me. Did she switch drivers again?
Oscar waved at me, so I did the same.
And Georgia, she just turned pale again and quickly turned her head the other way.
I smiled. It seemed as if she finally learned that you couldn't intimidate me with a little knife. But I still wasn't gonna trust her, I knew she wasn't done with me.
And I definitely wasn't done with her.
