"Good to have you back" I said professionally when I walked in the hospitality.
"What were you talking about with Charles?" He immediately snapped. I guess he didn't change after all.
"Honestly Lando" I said as I looked at him. "That's none of your business anymore"
He was biting the inside of his cheek.
"But I want it to be my business"
The inside of my stomach started turning again. I forgot how nauseous I was, but for some reason, when I saw Lando again, my stomach didn't like it.
He made me sick. Literally.
"Please River, let me remind you of all our great moments together"
I used to be so in love with him.
Be strong River.
"Why? Because you want to be powerful together?"
I had to admit that I was still a little annoyed that he said that. As if he only wanted me because I was good at my job.
"Because I love you River."
Be fucking strong.
Even before I could give him an answer, he already pulled me against his body and before I could react, his lips were pressed against mine.
I could feel his tongue against my lips and I allowed him in. We shared such an intense kiss.
I wish I felt nothing, I wish it would be the kind of closure I needed but it wasn't because I could feel myself falling again.
Falling for him once again while he still proved nothing.
I took a step back and looked at him. "What are you doing?"
"Proving you how much I love you, reminding you how much we were into each other"
He just didn't get it.
"That's not how you do that Lando" I sighed. "Get ready for practices please"
I still was gonna make him champion, or Oscar. Either way, I was gonna make one of them champion, so he could see just how powerful I was.

"I know I am your friend but you don't look good" Athena said as I sat down next to her.
We always met up in front of the Mercedes hospitality because Toto didn't mind having me here and it probably gave him the chance to ask him to come back hundreds times a day.
"I know, I only slept 3 hours last night" I said as I put my head in my hands. I still had to prepare the strategy, so unfortunately I probably had to cancel my plans with Charles.
"Why?"
"I don't know, I'm so nauseous, I am also so nervous and I don't even know why" Probably because of Lando, probably because I didn't want to see him.
"When was the last time you had your period?"
I looked at her confused. What kind of question was this?
"I-I honestly don't know" I wasn't paying much attention to myself lately. I was so busy, so focused on my job.
She looked at me but wasn't saying a word. She didn't need to. I knew what she meant.
But that wasn't possible, that couldn't be possible.
I was just busy lately, anxious, nervous, that's probably why I was late.
That definitely was the reason.
