Chapter 8

Pansy and Petra were finally hanging out with me again. The first Triwizard game was today, and I couldn't wait to watch it. It was lunch, and the games started right after lunch.

I decided to bring a plate to my room and get ready. When I was done getting ready, I headed to the area where the game was set up.

"Hey, Y/N! Come look!"

When I turned around, a bright light hit me, and I passed out. I felt so hot that I woke up to Mattheo next to me.

"You look like a tomato." Mattheo chuckled.

"Thanks. What the fuck happened?"

"Ginny happened! I saw her call your name and throw a curse at you."

That ass! I had it with Ginny. I was seriously going to have to come up with something quickly. Mattheo tried to pick me up but burned his hand!"

"MERLIN! You are burning up!" Mattheo looked concerned.

"It's okay. I don't burn." Mattheo grabbed my arm and showed a burn mark on it.

"This is impossible! I have only burned once and thought I was going mental!"

Then there were these loud steps. Mattheo grabbed me, and we looked over the corner. It was Ginny again!

Then he grabbed me even though I was still hot. He suffered through the pain and jumped into a broom closet.

It was such a small closet that we could barely fit. We waited patiently for Ginny to leave. When she did go, Mattheo and I realized how close we were. We both started staring into each other's eyes.

"I never noticed you had Y/E/C eyes. Your eyes are beautiful." His compliment made me flustered. I knew I was burning up again.

"T-Thanks. Is it just me, or is it getting hot right now?"

"You do have Pyrokinesis. You could be starting a fire." Mattheo's laugh was delightful. I hadn't heard it before, so It just made me smile.

"Your laugh is so adorable. You should laugh more often." Mattheo's smile dropped.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

"You didn't. I just haven't laughed in a while. Did I mention your purple hair looks amazing today?"

Mattheo had never been sweeter when I realized I was blushing hard, and I started giggling and snorted.

"Your laugh is adorable as well. So how come you don't laugh as much?"

"I hate my laugh. It's so weird!"

"I love it! You know, I am just noticing how gorgeous you are. I can't help but compliment you, Love."

When he called me that, I seriously felt myself burning. I tried to calm down, but he put his arm across the wall, trapping me against it.

I couldn't help it. I grabbed his tie and kissed him. I knew he liked it because he didn't pull away. The strangest thing happened. I was all cool, not burning anymore.

My lips parted letting his tongue into my mouth. Our tongues pushed against each other. His one hand went in my hair and the other slowly reached under my shirt but then he pulled away and left.
