Chapter 11

A few weeks later, all the Slytherins were packed into a room for a lesson. Snape was trying to explain something called the Yule Ball.

The Yule Ball was fascinating. It was a dance a few weeks after the first game. I’ve always loved dancing!

My father taught me to dance when I was younger. He told me I was fantastic. Snape was asked to teach us how to dance so we don’t embarrass ourselves in front of all the schools.

After we were done, everyone headed to lunch. When I walked into the Great Hall, I saw Mattheo. I quickly found a way to ignore him.

Instead, I walked over and sat with Fleaur.

I know I was a hypocrite because I didn’t want him to avoid me, but you must have a date when there is a ball. I was too nervous to be near him.

Fleur welcomed me over at the table. “Hey, Y/n, I’m glad you came over here. I have a question light blue or dark blue?”

“For what exactly?” I asked, distracted by seeing Ginny at the Slytherin table.

“Beauxbaton’s dresses for the ball. The girls are in an argument with the colors.”

Then Fleur laid out two colors in front of me to pick. Unfortunately, I was too distracted when looking at the Slytherin table until Draco came up.

“Hello, ladies! What’s going on over here?”

Fleur's little sister, Gabrielle, excitedly said, “We are figuring out what colors we should use for the dresses we want to make for the Ball!!”

Draco chuckled and smiled at Gabrielle. “Why don’t we see then?” Draco knelt to be a little shorter for her. “Which one do you like?”

Gabrielle answered his question, “I told Fleur light blue would look so much better, especially because of our uniforms!”

“I think it’s perfect! What do you think, Y/n?” He turned to me, still kneeling. I smiled at how nice he was to Gabby.

“I agree. Fleur, do the light blue.”

Gabby was so excited she slightly hugged Draco. Draco’s smile went away and then came back again.

When Gabby let go, he gave me a piece of paper, winked, and walked away.

I opened it, and his handwriting showed all over the paper, saying:

Hello Princess. I would love it if you would meet me in the astronomy tower after lunch in your free period. I want to talk to you. I would also appreciate it if you didn’t share this with anyone yet.

Fleur saw me blushing! “He is cute. Are you dating?” I immediately look up at her.

“No, we are just friends. I don’t know why everyone thinks we are dating,” Fleur smiled.

“Probably because he gave you a letter. Also, you guys would be the cutest couple ever.”

“Oh! Really? I mean, I do think he is cute! Although no, we are just friends!”

Ron and Harry came up when I was heading to the astronomy tower. I’ve never talked to Harry, even though he was the Chosen One.

“Hey, sis, where are you headed?” Ron asked. I could tell Harry was still shocked that Ron had a twin. I would be too!

“Oh. I am just going to take a breather outside.”

“Umm, Hi, sorry, I am Harry! I just wanted to meet Ron’s twin. I heard you had a magic ability called Pyrokinesis. How difficult is that?”

  I was surprised when he talked to me because I threatened Ginny and Hermione.

“Oh, it’s challenging right now. I don’t know how to control it. I start a fire when I lose my temper or have strong emotions.”

“Wow, that does sound challenging, especially because you were abandoned, and Ginny was trying to hurt you.”

I stood there, shocked. Did I just hear Harry right? “I’m sorry. What did you say?”

Ron quickly jumped in. “Y/N, Ginny was trying to hurt you. I am so sorry. When I found out, I was so angry. I meant to tell you sooner!”

I just looked at the clock. I was late. I had to hurry to see Draco.

“Ron, it’s ok. Ginny can be a bitch. I don’t mind, but I have to go.” Right after I said go, people swiftly walked through the hallways to get to class.

I didn’t look mad when I left, but I was about to do something I shouldn’t.
