Chapter 60

My eyes were extremely heavy and they fluttered open. I was laying in a bed with armored looking wall. I yanked upwards, but my wrist yanked down and i hear a metal chain.

I look down at my wrist and there was a chain keeping me tied down. I struggle and looked around making sure no one was there. I was trapped in a room with metal armored walls a wooden door.

I look at the chain. Whoever chained me up clearly didn't know I had Pyrokinesis because I just melted through the chain.

I patted my body looking for my wand. I felt in my robe pocket my wand. I pulled it out and when I opened the door it wasn't locked.

I opened the door and slowly walked out keeping my wand in my hand and a fireball in the other. I lurked quietly behind a wallet and I heard a voice talking to someone else.

I moved but as I got farther into the building it looked cozy. There was a wood tile floor. The walls were painted a beige. I went in a living room and saw a fireplace crackling.

In a kitchen was a women cooking. I approached her from behind until she took her wand out yelling a curse at me launching me into a chair.

"You're awake. That's wonderful." I looked up at the women, it was my mom. Well my adoptive one anyways.

"Mom!? Where the fuck am I? Why am I here? What do you want?" I interrogate.

"Y/n, please calm down. It's a safe house ok? I understand this sounds confusing. You ran into a tree hitting your head on a rock. We had to take you back home but the Dark Lord would know you escaped and would check home first."

For the first time in awhile she seemed genuinely worried. She gave me some hot chocolate and sat next to me. My dad walked in and smiled.

"You're awake! Are you alright? Edith get her a new bandage for her head, will you?" My dad told my mom and my mom quickly left.

My dad sat with me and sighed. "I am so incredibly sorry my dear. I never wanted you to join the Death Eaters but it was for your safety."

"Oh cut the crap with the safety bullshit! I'm not a kid anymore dad. What you need to explain is why I'm here." I say standing up walking to the kitchen to a window.

"Your mom and I didn't think this was safe for you. We got you into this mess and we want to get you out." He said following me.

My mom came behind me and looked at my head, I pushed her away.

"Don't touch me. I don't understand this. What could you do to get me out of whatever mess you're talking about?"

My mom spoke up as my dad stood with my mom with an arm wrapped around her. "The death eater situation."
