It was just after the season championship game, hosted in Denver, that my girlfriend brought up the idea of going to a concert as a double date with Horan and Sonny. I didn't bother to find out who the artist was before saying yes. The whole group got ready and headed to the venue.

As we pulled up, I noticed the billboard for the headliner and I froze for a second.

"Kell?" Kam questioned, rubbing her hand up and down my back. "You alright?"

"Yeah." I said instantly, wondering what I should do. "Where are the tickets again?"

"Front row, in the VIP section. I also got meet and greet passes!" Kam answered and my heart dropped.

"Awesome." I tried to sound excited, but I knew this was going to be interesting. But it was Sonny that came up next to me and whispered.

"Isn't that..."

"Yeah."

The four of us headed into the venue and made our way to the VIP section. I shifted on my feet as we got to the seats, looking at the stage. There was no chance that she wouldn't see me tonight.

The hype was incredible. I was honestly surprised by the energy, it was similar to one of the National Team games. The concert began and I watched as my ex-girlfriend appeared on stage. There she was, in all her glory, performing songs that I had been around to hear her write originally. It seems like she hadn't seen me quite yet, until my girlfriend started yelling really loudly. It got Y/N's attention and her eyes landed on mine. She faltered in her steps for a moment, not stumbling over the lyrics of the song.

Y/N turned to one of her background dancers and whispered something. The dancer went over to the guitarist, Max, who also whispered. Max looked in my direction and I shifted on my feet.

"I think she knows you're here..." Sonny said softly.

"Yeah and I don't know how to feel about it." I answered. The song ended and the music switched up.

"Good Evening Denver!" Y/N's voice was overtaken by the crowd for a few moments, before she spoke up again. "So are we enjoying the concert?" Another set of yelling. "I have a somewhat new song for you all. One I haven't played yet. It's not even been released."

I felt my heart start to hammer in her chest. She had told me once a long time ago, that she only held back songs that hurt for her to perform.

"Fuck..." I whispered, looking away from the stage.

"It's a song aimed at an ex... after a rough break up." Y/N spoke up, as her eyes didn't leave our section.

"She is like dead-set staring at this area." Lindsey said.

I heard Sonny whisper that she would explain later. Kam however was reveling in the attention.

"It's like she is speaking directly to us!" Kam smiled, pulling me closer to her.

'That's because she is...' I thought, taking a breath. "That's awesome, babe."

"This song is called GOOD FOR YOU..." Y/N introduced the song as the music picked up.

"Well, good for you, I guess you moved on really easily

You found a new girl, and it only took a couple weeks
