After a while of catching up the bell rang six times, '6:00' I thought to myself. "We should probably head back now I have to assume that dinner is ready." Laurie said as he smiled and helped me off the swing. We brushed hands a couple of times on the way back I quickly smiled and pulled my hand away.
We soon arrived back at the mansion to the aroma of turkey. "Ah Mia, Laurie just in time for dinner!" Mr.Laurence smiled as I tried to help set the table, I was sternly told to sit down by Mrs.Laurence. Who seemed to be just as I remembered her bossy, and very kept to herself. I smiled at her and sat in the chair next to Laurie who was patiently awaiting grace to be said so we could eat. "And in God's name Amen!" And with that I quickly finished my food, I soon remembered the mailbox that me and the March girls made to write notes to each other I quickly ran out of the house and headed to the wooden box attached to a thick tree. I picked up a note that read:
Mia
in very fancy lettering, I knew it was from Jo:
September. 13. 1805
Dear Mia, I really do wish you hadn't left everything has been sad since you've gone. It's been raining and the trees have started losing their leaves as if they followed you home. I really do wish that your Mother hadn't left you, our father has just left for the war a few days ago and I already miss him dearly I can't imagine what you feel like. I hope that some day you'll return and read this just as I wrote it. I know that You have grown to be a special young girl I hope my stories bring you as much joy as they do now.
Much love, Jo march

I smiled at the letter, suddenly the bell rang making me jump a bit. 'It's 8:00' I told myself, I looked over to the March house which had a light coming from the living space I put the letter in my pocket and ran up towards the house. I got a bit nervous but I managed to knock on the door. *Knock* I heard footsteps approaching the door followed by Mrs.March yelling "I'll get it!" I smiled at the thought of the March girls faces as I stood at the front door. The door opened as Mrs. March stood there looking at me "Mia? MIA!" she hugged me tightly, "You must come in sweet girl!" She pulled me through the door and yelled "Girls, Mia's back!" The March girls came running into the living space and showered me in hugs. Until all of a sudden it hit me "Where's Jo?" I asked, Meg was quick to inform me that she was up in the attic writing another story, I smiled and told everyone I'd be right back.
As I headed upstairs I couldn't stop thinking about how excited I was to see Jo, after all she was my favorite March sister. I found the door to be cracked so I peeked in to find her sitting on the floor with a collection of papers laid across the room. I opened the door and tried to not say a word with hopes to surprise her. She looked up from the papers and smiled at me "Mia!" She jumped off the floor and gave me the biggest hug. "I missed you so much!"
