I watched as Laurie and Jo came out of the buggy, Laurie came over and sat next to me. I looked over to him as I noticed a tear on his neck sliding down to his shirt, I decided that right now wasn't a good time to ask him what was wrong. "I'm gonna go find Jo." I stated getting up from my spot next to Amy. I spotted Jo and ran to her quickly "Jo!" "Jo!" She looked over at me and smiled, "Hello Mia!" "What is Laurie so upset about?" Jo's face fell a bit "I'll let Laurie tell you when he is ready." I gave her a look, 'when he's ready for what?' I thought to myself.
Later Beth and I were taking a walk when I looked over at Teddy's tutor, who fancied Meg. I spotted her glove in his pocket, the same one that she had lost the day we all went to Teddy's! I ran over to Meg, "Meg, I know something you don't know!" I said tauntingly "What, tell me!" I smiled, "Laurie's tutor has Meg's glove!" Me and Meg both squealed, "Does she know?" "I don't think so!" We both smiled as Meg came around the corner, "Are you guys okay you look way too happy right now!" Amy and I looked at each other, "Nothing, Mia just said something funny!" Amy replied quickly. Meg smiled and walked away, "That was close!" I looked over to find Laurie sitting on a blanket looking out onto the water, I walked over and sat by him the silence was killing me so I said the only think that I could say, "Meg and your tutor are in love." He looked over at me and smiled "Really?" "Megs glove is in his pocket, I'm not sure how many times he will deny that he has it." Laurie laughed, "Strange. Shall we go tell them!" "Teddy!" "What! I'm joking, I'm joking!" We both sat there and laughed.
The ride home was good other than the fact that everyone talked but Teddy, I wanted to ask why he won't tell me what is wrong but I quickly decided not to. I kept reminding myself 'He'll tell me when he's ready' But I didn't want to wait till he was ready. I looked at Amy who smiled at me and started laughing, we both laughed at absolutely nothing but couldn't stop for some reason. "Stop it Mia!" Amy yelled, "You stop!" I yelled back in between my laughter. "Why don't both of you stop it!" Laurie yelled sternly and Amy and I stopped laughing very quickly, but held in our laughter. I could tell Laurie was deeply upset about something but decided to keep quiet till we got back to the mansion.
TIME SKIP
Once we got home Mr.Laurence smiled at Teddy who gave a sarcastic smile in return while running up the stairs, "I don't appreciate your attitude Theodore! You get back down here this instant!" Mr.Laurence yelled, I heard a door slam upstairs. 'Poor Teddy' I thought to myself, Teddy's mother ran upstairs and after about 10 seconds I heard Teddy and his mother yelling back and forth at each other. I couldn't really make anything out other than his mother's words "Theodore! You need to listen to me! LOOK AT ME, SHE IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO ALL OF YOUR PROBLEMS YOU'RE GOING AND THAT'S FINAL!"
Suddenly I heard a door open and then slam shut and a rough click sound following. Mrs.Laurence came downstairs with a bright red face, "Amelia, go to your room now please!" She said her voice was strained. "Yes ma'am." I said politely not wanting to make her more aggravated. I went to open Teddy's door which was locked, my stomach fell to the floor. I quickly ran to my room and grabbed a piece of paper and started writing.
