I started on my way back to the mansion as the bell rang again '9:00'. I walked in and headed into the map room where I found Laurie's dad informing father about Germany and all the wars there. I walked in and said goodnight to both of them and headed up to my room. I got to my room where I found my stuff nicely put into the dresser and wardrobe, I grabbed my nightgown and pulled it over my body. I decided I'd go visit Laurie for a bit before I headed to bed so, I walked through his wooden door frame to find him sitting on his bed reading the same book from earlier this evening Persuasion by Jane Austin. He lifted his hand for me to come sit next to him on the bed, I rested my head on his shoulder and started to read the page
"One man's ways may be as good as another's, but we all like our own best. Let us never underestimate the power of a well-written letter."
That's when I remembered Jo's letter in my trouser pockets, I asked for a pen and wrote it on a paper to remind me to get it tomorrow. I relaxed and soon fell asleep on Laurie's shoulder.
