The next day I woke up to Beth absent from the breakfast table, I went up to her room. "Are you okay Beth?" I asked holding her hand, "I'm just not feeling great." She replied I nodded my head and went downstairs to grab her a glass of water. I went back upstairs to find her asleep so I set it on the bedside table. And headed downstairs again, Amy met me at the garden after breakfast and she sat with me on the swing, she told me all about her trip to France and how she met a man who also fancied her. I asked her if she saw Laurie and she denied seeing him or his uncle.
"Amy, I really missed you." She held me close, "I missed you too! Paris was really pretty I wish you could have seen it." I smiled, "I wish I could've seen it too." "You miss Laurie don't you?" I nodded my head, "I'm going back to France in a few days, would you like to come with me?" I smiled, "I would love to Amy! As long as it's not too much trouble." "It's never too much trouble, plus Aunt March won't be coming so it'll be more fun!" She said.
After we had talked for a while we headed back to the house and I went upstairs to check on Beth who smiled at me as I walked through the door frame, "Hey Beth, are you feeling any better?" She nodded but looked a lot weaker than before. "I'm feeling a bit better, just tired." She said, I nodded my head and kissed her on her hand and tucked her back in tightly. I went downstairs, "Mom I think we need to get a doctor for Beth." I proclaimed, she nodded her head and headed towards the door. "I'll be back in a few hours. I'm going to find the doctor." I smiled and hugged her quickly, "I love you!" "I love you too Mia."
