I followed Laurie to another part of the garden he pulled out an envelope from his left pocket, "It's yours." He said handing me the peculiar letter, the front read:
Mia and Laurie
I smiled because it was my mothers hand writing, I tore open the envelope and took the note out
Dear Mia and Laurie,
I hope that this letter finds both of you well, I know both of you have grown into handsome and beautiful young adults. I would like you guys to both read this together, I saw both of you become best friends and it would be no surprise to someone if you still were. My dearest Amelia, never lose your gentle heart and especially your manners! And Laurie, don't ever doubt your chances with life and know that you can do anything you put your mind to! I'm not sure if you guys remember your names for each other I loved hearing them, Mia used to call you Teddy and you would call her princess. I so dearly hope that both of you will use the garden as much as you do now. It was my favorite place to go when I met your father.
Much love,
Ellie GraceI looked over at Laurie who was only looking at me I smiled and hugged him. "Thank you, Teddy!" He chuckled, "Your welcome princess."
TIME SKIP TO AFTER LUNCH
Me and Laurie headed down to the March house, I decided to bring some bread over. We knocked on the door and Beth opened it "Mia! Come on in, hi Laurie!" I walked in and placed the bread on the table Amy, Meg, and Jo were both upstairs screaming and laughing. I later found out that Jo burned a piece of Meg's hair off while curling it which I found very funny. They all came down in pretty dresses, Amy on the other hand was just standing there with an angry look on her face, "Come on Jo why am I not allowed to go?" Amy cried "Because you need to stay here with Beth so she's not alone tonight! I'll see you later." Jo and Meg rushed out the door as Amy ran upstairs, I walked over to Beth who was playing piano. She did sound just as beautiful as I had remembered, "Would you teach me how to play?" I asked, Beth's face lighted up as she quickly agreed. That night I learned a whole song! Soon the bell rang nine times, me and Laurie said good night and Amy hugged me goodbye, handing me a note. As me and Laurie were walking back I quickly smiled at him, he smiled and grabbed my hand. "Wanna read more of the story tonight?" he asked, I laughed. "I'd love that!"
We returned back to the mansion and while Laurie finished changing I opened the note from Amy.
It's obvious you like Laurie just tell him how you feel, I know he likes you back!
I blushed a bit at the note, knowing that I liked him was the worst part but someone noticing just made it worse. "Are you ready?" Laurie asked, "Yeah!" I hid the note inside of my dresser next to the one from Jo and headed to his room. He signaled me to come sit by him and I did but all of a sudden Amy's note got in my head and I scooted away from him just a bit. "What are you doing?" he asked. I just nodded towards the book and looked over at it he furrowed his eyebrows at me and just continued opening the book to the next page. After a while I started feeling tired so I pulled the blanket off me and told Laurie goodnight. He gave me a strange look and told me goodnight back.
I got back to my room and all I could think about was the letter and that's all that filled my head before I fell asleep.
