"So you bought a new house instead of living here...?" Skye questioned as they pulled up to Ryders house in Senoia.

"This house really isn't my style. Plus Anna's family has used it more than I have so it's kinda just been a place we all use when one of us needs an escape." He said causing her to shake her head. "Just wait. When you see the inside you'll understand. Though I think Anna and her mom finally had their way with it since the last time I've been here so who knows."

"And how long has it been since you've been here?" She could see him think about it as he slipped from the car. When she did the same she could see him go around the the back of the car to grab her bag. "No you don't."

"I can carry your bag." He replied. She rolled her eyes and without another word grabbed it before he could. "To answer your question it's been about six or eight years since I've been here last."

"Why has it taken you so long to come back?" His good shoulder shrugged.

"Dunno to be honest. Just been too busy I guess." He commented earning a shake of her head. "Come on though. Keys always in the same spot." He said as he made the short walk to the front door. He reached up and she was grateful if the fact that he was nearly a foot taller than here as she would've never been able to grab the key hidden in the rafters of the porch. "Should've let you climb and get it like we used to make Anna. Was always the funniest thing."

"There is no way in hell I'd be able to get that. Even with climbing." He chuckled.

"You would. I have faith." She hit him in the stomach and could hear him bite back a groan.

"I'm sorry Ryder." He shook his head at her words.

"You're fine. It's alright. Any other time that would be nothing." Her hand gently moved to rest along his stomach before she tiptoed and her lips pressed to his cheek. "Nah that's not enough of a sorry." Skye couldn't help but laugh as she grabbed the key from Ryders hand and opened the door.

"That's not gonna work." She said with a smirk as she pushed the door open. The second she stepped up and into the house she could feel his finger hook in her jeans before she was turned around.

"No but does this?" She dropped her bag before he could feel her fingers thread in his hair. If she could've her arms would've draped along his shoulders but she opted for the next best thing.

"It does." A smile appeared along his lips before she lightly pulled him closer. The second his hand landed along her hip, her lips met his. "You call me hot but you don't realize just how hot you are." He chuckled lightly before his lips pressed to her cheek.

"You're still the hot one. I'm still the idiot." She shook her head as she laughed.

"You're the hot idiot." He chuckled.

"Well you're just pure hot." He could see her cheeks turn red before his lips pressed to the redness. "And that's fucking cute."

"Would you stop trying to make me blush...." He laughed as he shook his head.

"Not until you do." She laughed.

"Not gonna happen." Skye replied before she grabbed his hand and dragged him inside. "Oh Anna's definitely had her way with this place." Ryder looked around as he nodded.

"She definitely has." He commented before she could see his eyes fall on a set of pictures on the wall.

"Wait.... Is that you...?" He slowly nodded and for a moment she could see pain in his eyes as he stared at a picture that she assumed was his parents. "You alright Ryder?" She asked quietly before he cleared his throat as he nodded.
