Skye felt a pair of lips press carefully to her cheek and she almost instantly leaned back into Ryder. His arm gently wrapped around her midsection as they listened to a part of the tour of the town they were on. Both had been enjoying their vacation but both knew that she would need to be back on the road tomorrow to make it to Dynamite on time.
Her hand gently ran along his forearm as she took in the information. When they started off towards the next stop she didn't even hesitate to lace their fingers together.
"How many times have you heard this?" He chuckled at her words.
"A lot but it's alright. They always add new things so it's nice to see how it's all changed." She could see people looking at them as they walked but could tell that they weren't looking at her but at him. "Because I know you're going to ask. My grandparents were pretty well known around here so when I came in it was always for some reason this big thing and all the old ladies would spend days pinching my cheeks and fussing over me. Since they passed now everyone just stares. Don't get it.... Probably because I never really talked much so they don't expect me to but yeah. It's pretty normal and another reason on the list of why I couldn't live here full time."
"Never noticed how bad it was until today." He chuckled as he nodded.
"Hasn't been that bad until today." He replied back before she squeezed his hand. "I don't really care though. I've gotten used to it." His thumb lightly ran along hers as the tour stopped at its next stop.
"So question...." She began as they started walking towards the last stop. He nodded when he saw her look up at him. "You up for a road trip tomorrow?" He chuckled.
"If you think I'm staying here you're nuts." He commented earning a laugh from her. "If you don't mind I'll tag along to Dynamite with you."
"I don't mind in the slightest. Plus if I do get sick of you I can always pawn you off on Anna." He laughed.
"Please don't." When they stopped at the final stop of the tour she couldn't help but melt into him as she felt his arm slip around her shoulders. When the tour ended, she could feel his lips lightly press to the top of her head as he spoke quietly. "I'm taking you on a proper date tonight." He could see a smile appear along her lips.
"Are you now?" She quietly replied earning a nod. "This mean I get to buy a dress from that shop?"
"If you'd like." Her smile grew as one appeared along his lips. "I've got to get something nicer too."
"Sounds like we're going somewhere fancy." He chuckled.
"I ran into my old friend when I got us coffee this morning. He invited us to the restaurant he's the head chef at." Her arm slipped around his waist before she carefully hugged him.
"I can't wait." Just as she tiptoed and her lips pressed to his cheek they were bumped into. "I swear...." Though Ryder tried to stop her, Skye turned and immediately got in the same man's face that had pushed them a few days prior. "What in the fuck is your problem?"
"Him, so why don't you step away from the little bitch of a rich boy and let us solve our issues." She didn't budge as the man tried to take a step towards Ryder.
"I don't have an issue with you Randy I never have. I'm not going to fight you like you want me to so why don't you just leave us alone." Skye was pressed between both men as Randy took a step forwards to get into Ryders face.
"I told you ten years ago to never fucking come back here." When she looked up she could se both men nose to nose and knew it was best to move out from between them.
"That was ten fucking years ago and all over the fact that I dated your sister. Get the fuck over it. I'm sure she is." When Ryder was pushed to the ground something in Skye snapped. She immediately grabbed Randy's balled fist before she twisted it so his arm awkwardly contorted. Before she could do anything else a police officer stepped in.
"Randy grow the fuck up.... I've got this Dear." Skye let go of Randy's arm before he was ushered away by the officer. She turned towards Ryder who was brushing his shirt off.
"You didn't have to do that." He said quietly as she moved closer to him. She carefully helped him straighten out his shirt and sling as he watched her.
"But I did Ryder." She replied when their eyes met. When he went to speak she stopped him. "Don't you even think about apologizing." He chuckled as he shook his head.
"But I need to...." It was her turn for her head to shake.
"You alright?" He nodded at her quiet question. "Good.... If not I was going to kick his ass." Ryder couldn't help his chuckle.
"I don't need you to fight my battles Skye." Her eyes met his for a moment.
"You don't need me to but I'm going to whether you like it or not." He gently pulled her into him before his lips met her cheek. "You're not getting into any fights as long as I'm here." He chuckled quietly.
"I don't fight people. Trust me." Their eyes met and she couldn't help but lightly laugh.
"I know. I'll fight for you." Her last words were said with a smirk causing him to laugh.
"You're not going to be fighting anyone either." When she rolled her eyes he shook his head. "Let's go find some things for later." He said changing the topic. A smile appeared along her lips before she nodded. She didn't even hesitate to take his hand and when she did she could feel it shaking. Instead of questioning it Skye gently ran her thumb along Ryders before they walked to a boutique to find clothes for the evening.

"So what other foods are don't you like?" Skye questioned after Ryder had ordered his meal. A chuckle escaped his lips.
"You'll find out." She raised an eyebrow at him earning another laugh. "Alright fine.... But I swear if you make fun of me."
"You know I wouldn't." She replied with a smile as she took a sip of her wine.
"So besides carrots, not the biggest fan of tomatoes and mushrooms, mayos a big no and I don't like corn either." She raised an eyebrow at him.
"Corn?" He nodded. "That's a new one. What about ketchup?"
"I'll eat ketchup or tomato sauce but like whole tomatoes.... No thank you. Also.... Don't really understand the point of salad. Tastes like nothing and does nothing to fill you." She couldn't help her laugh at his words. "What about you? Anything you don't like to eat?"
"I'm willing to try anything don't really think I've found anything I won't touch." She replied with a smile. "So besides wrestling what sports do you like watching?" He chuckled.
"As random as it probably sounds, hockey. I used to play it when I was growing up and just love it." She eyed him for a moment.
"You know I don't think I've been to a hockey game since I was a kid...." His eyebrow raised.
"Really?" Skye nodded before a smile appeared along Ryders lips. "Sounds like I've got to take you to one then." There was a smile along her lips as she replied.
"That sounds like a date."
