They were all having lunch together in Jisoo's office, with jisoo and Jennie sat side by side while Lisa, Chaeyoung and Lia sat on the couch across them. Lisa and Chaeyoung were the only ones doing the talking. They kept making jokes about this and that, and tried to come up with every joke attempt possible the whole time to ease the tension and to not make it awkward.

Mostly, they were trying to shift the attention on the main situation; Jennie's cat eyes were doing its job so damn well, the bombastic side eyes she gave every ten seconds... the way she wasn't even trying to hide it too, it was so obvious. Everyone in the room can felt the thick tension in the air.

Meanwhile, Jisoo was silently taking glances at her wife and flashed Lia an apologetic smile, she was trying to get her wife's attention too but it didn't work since Jennie was too busy working overtime with another much more important thing. The only thing Jennie did the whole lunch is scan Lia from head to toes, sometimes even squinted her eyes, like she was observing something, making the girl a bit (not a bit actually) uh... uncomfortable and slightly scared (just only a bit, really).

Lia was staying stiff in her seat and not daring to look up at all, she kept poking her food, stirred and played with it. She hasn't even taken a bite yet, so far.

Chaeyoung laughed at one of Lisa's (dry) jokes of the day then she turned to look at Lia, who seemed to be quite awkward.

She gave the girl a warm smile before asking, "So, you've been working here for two weeks already, right?" she started a conversation since she noticed Lia was quiet the whole time.

Lia stopped playing her food as she straightened her body and immediately answered, "Yes. I've been working here for uh, i think uh, 15 days? Yes, it's been 15 days ma'am."

Chaeyoung snorted, sensing her obviously nervous voice. "Hey, hey, relax. It's just a friendly question, and you don't have to be so formal with me. You call Lisa unnie too, right? you can also call me unnie, i don't mind. I'm Park Chaeyoung by the way." she told the girl, earning a side glare from Jennie.

But Chaeyoung just rolled her eyes and ignored her dramatic ass bestfriend and kept smiling at Lia.

"Ah, uh... i am Lia, Choi Lia... u-unnie." she stuttered.

"How is it so far working with these two? a pain in the ass, right? especially Lisa." she asked jokingly, making Lisa pouted her lips playfully in return.

Lia lifted her hand and put her thumb close to her index finger, making a small gap between it. "Only a bit... Lisa unnie is quite chaotic." she answered honestly with her eyes slightly squinted, earning a side-eye from Lisa and a loud chuckle from Jisoo.

"Oh wow... i'm right here by the way, in case you don't remember." Lisa murmured, her tone was joshing.

"She didn't lie." Jisoo said, giggled.

Jennie swiftly turned her head to her wife and gave her a blank look. "What's so funny?" she raised her eyebrows, making Jisoo purse her lips immediately. Lisa laughed and stuck her tongue out at her for a payback, Jisoo mouthed a "shut up" with a glare in response.

Chaeyounge clapped her hands to get their attention. "Come on guys, let's eat." she told them and took another bite of sweet and sour pork.

Jennie smiled at Jisoo, a snaky one. She grabbed a fried chicken and fed the elder. "Here Chu, you like fried chicken right?" right? she looked at Jisoo in the eyes, making an intense eye contact.

"Right?" she repeated, looking straight into Jisoo's eyes.

Jisoo chuckled nervously and nodded. "Yes. I like it." she smiled and was about to grabbed the chicken from Jennie, the younger slightly slapped her hand to stop her.
