Sunlight streamed through the window, painting rosy squares on Jisoo's eyelids. It was another weekend, and Jisoo was (unsurprisingly) awakened by the sensation of kisses being showered all over her face.

For a moment there, she thought it was Dalgom licking her, but as she opened her eyes, she found her cute wife with those adorable mandu cheeks and gummy smile, smiling down at her with a glint in it.

Damn, what a view to start the day. I love life, absolutely. Jennie Kim is my wife, goddamnit, i fucking love life.

"Jen?" Jisoo mumbled with her raspy morning voice with a small smile in the corner of her lips.

"Good morning, Chu! Are you awake now?" Jennie asked, her voice bright and cheerful.

Jisoo, with her eyes barely opened, pulled Jennie into her arms and hugged her tightly.

"No... I'm still sleepy." she murmured softly, pressing a gentle kiss on her wife's forehead.

"Okay, you can continue your sleep then. I'll be back again when you're awake." Jennie muttered, starting to get up. But the older girl tightened her embrace, not letting her go.

"Where are you going?"

"Preparing breakfast." Jennie grinned.

"This early?" she glanced at the clock.

6:38 am

It was the weekend. Jennie usually slept till 8-9 on weekends. They usually cuddle and just have brunch, since they're mostly busy on weekdays so they spend their weekend being all lazy in bed and do nothing.

"Yes. We'll leave in two hours." Jennie told her excitedly, her big smile making Jisoo a bit nervous. Did she forget something? She couldn't remember.

"Uh, where? Are we... going somewhere?" Jisoo asked carefully, trying to recall if they had an appointment or a date planned for today that had slipped her mind.

"Oh, right, sorry, Chu. I forgot to tell you, we're going to my parents' house." Jennie informed her with a big gummy smile.

Jisoo immediately sat up, eyes wide open and fully awake. "We're going to your parents'?"

Jennie nodded cheerfully. "Yes!"

She hadn't visited her parents in a while and she missed them, a lot. Jennie barely saw her parents since they were super busy and mostly at the company, since she was a kid, so it was nothing new to her. Even when Jennie and Jisoo had time, they still had to match her parents' schedules first to get to see them.

So much work just to see your own parents. Jennie hated the fact that she had already gotten used to it. Her family had always been like this, and she wished they could spare her more time.

Although she loved spending time with her wife, Jennie still missed her parents dearly. But she knew she was too old to be whiny about it.

"Oh..." Jisoo's mouth formed an 'o', her expression faltering for a moment before she quickly covered it with a smile.

No wonder her wife looked extremely happy today; that's all that mattered to her.

She got up and pressed a kiss on the younger girl's cheek. "Okay, I'm going to take a shower then."

The cat-eyed girl nodded like a happy kid. "Okay, I'll see you downstairs." she told the elder and excitedly made her way downstairs.

Jisoo silently let out a small sigh before lazily walking into the bathroom.

Jisoo carried the plastic bags Jennie got for her mom in both hands as she walked behind her wife, who was excitedly running to her mom.
