Chapter 2- Halloween at recess

I decided to write my story about a little ten year old girl called Frankie, she lived with her mother because her father left them when she was born, she was very alone and an outcast at school, she has no friends and gets bullied a lot.

But Frankie was very curious and sweet, she would always explore the woods near her home, and one cool spring day she discovers a hidden spring behind a wall of hanging vines. Frankie visits the area everyday, and each day unmasks new things about the springs, and soon realizes the secrets that haunt its past.

Frankie finds comfort in the springs and confidence in her self when near them, she over comes the bullying and makes friends, and they all live happily ever after.

Finally it was recess, two long periods of test over.

"hey Amelie can you come with me to my locker to get the mat out?" johnny asked me, but he seemed that he had made the decision for me because he pulled me along with him.

johnny unfortunately got one of the lockers that smelt, there were a couple of them around school from previous owners that kept old rotten food or other horrible smelling things in them.

johnny's locker smelt of sweaty gym socks and rotten egg, eww!

johnny decorated his locker with photos and sprayed it with deodorant to try and take away from the smell, he had a black and white photo from a photo booth of him and Katrina with love hearts and kissing and blah blah blah, he had a couple of photos of his family and lots of the group.

johnny caught me looking at my favorite photo, it was a photo from last year, it had our whole group sitting on a blue picnic mat under the tree, johnny was kissing Katrina, me and harry were pretending to be chickens, Sandra and Amy were making faces at the camera and ruby was in the middle jumping up with her hair all over marks face.

"i still think that was the best day of my life... well except for the first kiss with Katrina" john said dreamily and i punched him lightly on the arm

"snap out of it, keep it pg 13 please!" i stared at the picture a bit longer then noticed johnny walking off with the picnic mat

"hey johnny wait up!"

"you'll never catch me i'm the gingerbread man!" he shouted back at me

i easily caught up with him, i have always been a great runner, i just love the wind whipping through my hair and the adrenaline i get.

"not much of a ginger bread man are you?"

"well you probably cheated like that nasty fox" i laughed at his stupid joke as we continued to walk to our spot, Johnny, Sandra and I opened up the mat and laid it on the ground.

"its a nice sunny day today" Sandra said stretching her perfect legs and arms, she faced her held up to the sky basking in the sunlight letting her brown curled hair fall out of its pony tail, Sandra was so pretty with her hair out, how does she not have a boyfriend?

I sat down between harry and Sandra on the mat and i noticed Katrina walking over with Amy, Katrina ran forward and plonked herself besides johnny, Amy and ruby sat on the opposite end of the mat from me.

"wheres mark?" harry questioned, he sat with his legs out and was leaning back. Amy and mark were in the same class.

"yeah, he got a detention he will be out soon" Amy replied flipping her hair over her shoulder. I started to think about Halloween again.

"hey what are you guys doing for Halloween?" I asked the group

"oh yeah Halloween! I hadn't even thought about that, I haven't got any plans" ruby said
