"Hyung? Have you found it?"

Jimin approached the male concealed in a purple velvet cloak, hood pulled over his head. Only Seokjin's pale smooth hands and lips were in view, having thoroughly covered up like the prince of Serendipity.

Nobody outside the castle knew what the crown prince's fiance looked like, but since he was out in the town of Seom, away from home, with another prince in disguise, it was safer to dress up like him too.

Both were in a critical condition to have left the palace at a time like this, with the war raging on, not showing any signs of ending until winter, when the town market was taut with tension. Brawls broke often there now, shop owners trying to rip customers off with ridiculously high prices with the excuse of war.

But Seokjin was just so set on buying a ring for Namjoon.

Ever since his official engagement with the prince, he always found himself looking at the engagement ring his lover gave him, admiring and adoring it every chance he got, and he imagined what it'd be like if he got Namjoon something too, the latter treating his gift the same he did when he wasn't around and he missed or remembered him.

Namjoon had forbidden Seokjin from going anywhere outside the palace when he was absent until the war ended, so the brunette didn't really have a choice at first. He wanted to surprise the golden-haired, not buy the gift in his presence. Sad, he shared his wish to Jimin, who'd become his best friend within the time he'd been in the palace.

The Prince of Serendipity promised to look for a way. And the chance finally came a week after Namjoon's proposal, four weeks since Seokjin became a part of the royal family of Persona.

The crown prince had to go away to inspect the war camp with the king and the queen for the day, and the palace was basically empty, left under Jungkook's watch. Jimin and Seokjin took this chance to slip out of the palace, under the excuse of going to go to the forest belonging to the royal property.

The change of place refreshed Seokjin's mind, and having been to such a busy place for the first time after being forced to battle, he felt some kind of new energy flow through him as he fluttered around a jewelry shop named 'Moon Jewellers', humming to himself as he inspected all the different kinds of rings on display.

He'd some very expensive and completely useless pieces of jewelry back from his old life, and he'd decided to sell them and buy the best thing he could for his beloved Namjoon.

After two whole hours of searching around the huge shop, he finally came across the perfect ring. He held out his engagement ring and matched it with the one on display. The ring was made of silver, but thicker than his, with two black stones, shaped exactly like this.

"Minnie!" Seokjin pulled the Serendipity prince, who stood just beside him, closer and pointed at the ring. "Look! It looks just like mine."

"Hmm... do you like it?" Jimin asked, admiring the ring with the other.

"Yes, it's like mine, and so pretty," Seokjin sighed dreamily. "It'll be perfect for Joonie."
