As soon as we entered our hotel room, we couldn't resist the temptation to jump onto the plush bed, feeling the softness envelop us. The stunning view from our balcony was a sight to behold - a serene oasis surrounded by lush trees and vibrant greenery, creating a sense of tranquility and peace.
We indulged in the sweet treats from the buffet, savoring each bite and enjoying the delightful flavors. Afterward, Rue retreated to the bed for a rejuvenating nap, her gentle snores a soothing soundtrack to my relaxation.
Meanwhile, I headed to the shower, letting the warm water wash away the fatigue of our journey, both physically and mentally. I pampered myself with a soothing skincare routine, feeling my skin revitalized and refreshed.
Finally, I slipped into bed beside Rue, our bodies cozy and close, sharing the intimate space and basking in the warmth of each other's presence.
The soft rustling of the trees outside and the occasional chirping of birds created a lulling melody, lulling us into a peaceful slumber, ready to face another day of adventure together.
In the evening, we embarked on an exploration of the hotel's grounds, indulging in the delectable snacks offered by the hotel's culinary delights. The hotel itself was a lush oasis, a veritable garden paradise teeming with birds and trees that transported me to a rural haven, replete with all the modern amenities. This tranquil retreat disconnected us from the hustle and bustle of city life, allowing us to unwind in the midst of nature's splendor.
A colorful parrot caught my attention, and I extended my hand in greeting, "Hi, Mr. Parrot!" only to have him nip at my finger instead of shaking it.
Joshua chuckled, "I think Mr. Parrot doesn't quite understand you," as he placed a reassuring hand on Rue's shoulder. Mark appeared from behind, his eyes twinkling with amusement, and chided Joshua, "Stop teasing her." Rue's gaze instinctively drifted to Mark, her eyes lingering on him with a hint of warmth.
"Why don't you say hi to Parrot, Jack?" I say with a sly grin, intentionally using the wrong name. Mark and Rue both gasp in surprise, "Oh, sorry Joshua..." I reply with a playful wink. Just then, the parrot squawks in its human-like voice, "It's not a parrot, it's Mr. Parrot!" The group erupts into chuckled at the parrot's sassy response.
Joshua, still chuckling, "Let me try," He hands his bag to Rue and stands beside me, his proximity making my heart race. I can't help but notice the way his cologne fills the air, making my senses tingle. He extends his hand to the parrot, "Hi, Mr. Parrot. Can you give me a handshake?" he asks with a charming smile.
The parrot, seemingly impressed by Joshua's confidence, reaches out with its claw and shakes his hand, to everyone's delight. The moment is filled with laughter and joy, and I can't help but feel a sense of warmth being surrounded by these endearing individuals.
I couldn't help but feel a flush rise to my cheeks as the parrot nipped my finger instead of shaking hands. Everyone around me erupted into laughter, and I couldn't help but join in, trying to brush off the awkwardness. "Well, I guess I'm not good enough for a handshake, huh?" I said with a chuckle, trying to play it cool.
But as I glanced over at Joshua, I saw him smiling at me with a hint of amusement, and my heart skipped a beat. I couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious, wondering if he thought I was silly or clumsy. But as our eyes met, he gave me a warm and reassuring smile, and I felt my embarrassment melt away.
