As I watched, Eva emerged from the college campus, her workout clothes clinging to her toned physique. Her long hair was pulled back into a high ponytail, showcasing her radiant glow. I fell into step beside her, curiosity getting the better of me. "Where did you go?" I asked, my eyes scanning her flushed face.
"Girls' dance practice for the freshers' party," she replied, her breathless tone hinting at the intensity of the session. We strolled together, our footsteps echoing off the buildings as we made our way back to her apartment.
I glanced over my shoulder, hesitating before asking, "Are you heading back to your apartment?" Eva's face glowed with a subtle sheen, her eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. "Yeah, I'm skipping lectures today," she said with a sly smile, her pace quickening as she led the way home.
I sat on my bike and turned around, stopping beside her. "What?" she exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise.
"Hop on, I'll drop you off," I said, gesturing to the bike. "You look exhausted."
She didn't hesitate, swinging her leg over the bike and settling in behind me. Her arms snaked around my waist, her grip tight as she rested her face against my back. I could feel her warm breath on my skin, her body relaxing into mine as I started pedaling.
As I dropped her off, I couldn't help but notice the sea of pamphlets scattered all over the college ground, advertising the upcoming freshers' party in bold, colorful letters. I parked my bike and walked into the boxing club, my eyes scanning the flyers that littered the ground. I picked one up, reading the details of the party as I made my way inside.
Just as I was about to start my workout, a firm hand landed on my shoulder. "We heard something," a deep voice said, and I turned to see a senior member of the club standing behind me, his eyes gleaming with a knowing intensity.
I was taken aback by the senior's enigmatic behavior. "What?" I asked again, but he just chuckled and patted me on the back before walking away, leaving me feeling perplexed. The whispering around me grew louder, and I sensed that something was amiss.
I asked, he started laughing but his eyes glinting concerns. I was confused at this point, boxing couch came near me and hugged me "I have no right to enter in your personal matters Joshua"
Before I could process what was happening, I found myself transported to a lecture hall. The room erupted in a chorus of loud whispers, some guys slapping me on the back and smiling.
A tall, lanky guy with an Australian accent approached me, grinning from ear to ear. "Congrats, mate!" he exclaimed, his words echoing through the hall. I stood there, bewildered, wondering what I was being congratulated for.
