Fire burned everywhere. The enemies came in from all sides, and the Queen and her son had little time to escape. The butler came as soon as he could.
"Your highness! The pod for two is ready! You and the prince must hurry!!"
The queen looked at her baby boy in her arms. With one final sigh, she handed the baby over to the butler before forcing him and her child in the pod.
"Your highness?! What are you doing?!"
"I'm sorry...keep him safe...Promise me..."
"...I...I will! I'll keep him safe! Even if it may cost me my own life!"
The queen smiled and with the power of her mind, gave her son a new form.
"Be safe...Be strong...Be kind...I love you...My little Icarus..."
Pit woke up with a start. His heart was pounding and he was sweating like crazy. The angel looked down saw that his hands were shaking a little. Pit quickly wiped the sweat from his forehead.
What...What was that? Pit asked himself. He couldn't figure it, so he decided to go back to sleep.
