Chapter 10 : Part 1/2

Valerie's POV

After waiting for eternity, the guys finally showed up, I've seen them all recently except Luke.

They all ran up to me and were hugging me until I felt like I couldn't breathe. Once they let go, I realized that Luke wasn't here.

C: He's waiting outside.

V: For what?

M: His puppy.

V: What?

A: Luke's new girlfriend.

We all sat by the pool, getting tans, except I refused to take my clothes off to reveal my bathing suit.

Why, you ask?

Well, because Luke's girlfriends are always gorgeous and fit. I'm neither of those things.

Finally, Luke and his girlfriend walk in, and I was right.

She was beautiful.

She has long Auburn colored hair and bright eyes.

Luke: Hey guys!

ALL: HEY

I was thankful for my sunglasses because I felt like my heart dropped and my expressions are easily told through my eyes. Luke sat at the chair across from me with his girlfriend on his lap.

Lucia: Luke? Introduce us.

Luke: Oh yeah, sorry. Guys, this is Madisen. Madisen, this is Lucia, Rob, and uh that's Valerie.

I gave her head nod and smile. she smiled back. She seems nice.

Everyone jumped into the pool, but I just sat down in my clothes, listening to music.

I sat there for about half an hour, when someone tapped on my shoulder. I took out my headphones to see Madisen standing above me.

M: Hey, I'm sorry to bother you.

V: It's no bother, what's up?

I made some space and tapped the spot in front of me so she could sit down.

M: Well, everyone is swimming and you were sitting alone and you seem nice and I don't know anyone that well.

V: Oh, well don't worry; they're all very friendly. Why aren't you swimming?

M: I'm very body conscious and I didn't bring a suit.

V: I am too, that's why I haven't taken my clothes off.

M: From what I can tell, it looks like you have a great body.

V: Not really. You seem like your body is perfect, why so self-conscious?

M: I have stretch marks.

V: I do too. Tell you what, I always pack an extra suit just in case, you an borrow it if you want.

M: Really? You'd do that?

V: Yeah it's not a problem.

M: Thank you, but one condition. If I put on this suit, you need to reveal your suit too.

V: Okay.

We walk into the house and I show her to the bathroom and hand her the suit. She walks out and her body is perfect and I grow envious.

V: Madisen, you look amazing.

M: Don't make me blush, thank you. It's your turn.

I take off my clothes, revealing my black bathing suit.

M: You look amazing, now lets go back out there.

V: Can I call you Maddie?

M: Sure, I'll call you Val, if that's okay.

V: We're friends now so go ahead.

We link arms and skip right out to the pool before jumping in together. We both rise up and start laughing at each other's immaturity.

Luke looks stunned and so does everyone else, because I used to have a thing with Luke and now I'm a friend with his girlfriend.

**2 hours later**

We all took showers and dried up. We ordered pizza and took a thousand pictures together.

Maddie pulled me out of the room and I was confused.

M: Why didn't you tell me about you and Luke?

V: I assumed he told you and it's not really important.

M: I know, but I wish someone told me earlier.

V: This doesn't affect us being friends does it?

M: No, not at all.
