Chapter 42: Y/N's Sister

Y/N's P.O.V

I walk back onto the Shadow and I'm still in shock.

My sister is the First Sister, the one who has tried to kill me.

I sit down and put the Inquisitor lightsaber on the table infront of me.

The other's come in and see me.

Sabine: Y/N, you're back?

I look at her and I can tell she immediately knows something is off.

Sabine: Y/N, what's wrong? What happened out there?

Bode: Yeah, man. You look like you've just seen a ghost.

Y/N: I think I just did.

Kanan: Y/N, what happened? Why do you have an Inquisitor's lightsaber?

Y/N: It belongs to the First Sister.

Kanan: She was out there?

Finn: Where is she now?

Y/N: She's gone. And she's...

I look down.

Sabine: She's what?

I look at them.

Y/N: She's my sister, Serena. My sister is the First Sister.

Their eyes widen.

After that I explain to them what happened in the temple.

Bode: Damn. That's crazy.

Finn: Are you sure it was her?

Y/N: Yes. I saw it in a vision through force echo. I saw our time together on our third birthday, I saw her get tortured by the Inquisitor's. I saw it all.

Sabine puts her hand on my shoulder.

Sabine: Y/N, I'm so sorry. I can't imagine how hard this is for you.

I wipe the tears away, then look at Kanan.

Y/N: Kanan, how come I didn't know? Surely I should've known it was she was my sister. How couldn't I have known?

He sighs.

Kanan: I don't know, Y/N. I really don't. I guess because the thought of it never crossed your mind, you never would've thought of it.

I nod.

Y/N: I guess that makes sense.

Bode sighs.

Bode: So, what do we do now?

Kanan stands up.

Kanan: I'm gonna go to the temple and get what we need, then we'll head back to Jedha.

Finn: Okay, I'll prep the Shadow for take-off.

Bode: I'll help you.

Kanan leaves the ship.

Finn and Bode go to the cockpit with BD-2.

Sabine sits with me and holds my hand.

Sabine: I know it's a dumb question, but how are you feeling?

I sigh.

Y/N: I don't know. I really don't. I mean how am I supposed to feel about all this.

Sabine: I don't know. I wish I had an answer for you, babe.

Y/N: I know. I'm just glad I have you here with me.

She smiles at me.

We lean in and kiss.

A moment later we pull away.

Y/N: I love you, Sabine.

Sabine: I love you too.

I stand up.

Sabine: So, what are we gonna do about your sister?

I sigh.

Y/N: I know what I need to do. It's something I think my parents would want me to do.

Sabine: And what's that?

Y/N: I need to find her and help her. I think I can bring her back.

Sabine stands up.

Sabine: Are you sure about that? I mean you know how many people she's hurt, right? How many people she's killed?

Y/N: I know, I know. She's hurt and killed alot people, but it doesn't mean she's gone completely.

I look at Sabine.

Y/N: No-one is ever really gone.

I sigh.

Y/N: When we fought in the temple, she had a chance to kill me, but she didn't. I sensed her hesitate and she felt conflicted about it.

Sabine: Does that mean she knows you're her brother?

Y/N: I don't know, but I know she isn't fully committed to the Darkside.

I face Sabine.

Y/N: I just know that she's my sister and I can't abandoned her.

Sabine: I understand. Just know that if you need help, then I'll be there for you.

I smile.

Y/N: Thank you.

I lean in and we kiss.

???: About time, you two.

We pull away and turn to see Finn and Bode there with smirks on their faces.

Y/N: Uh, yeah. Sabine and I are, uh...

Finn: Yeah, we figured as much.

A moment later Kanan comes back and we leave Bogano.

(Two hours later)

(Planet: Jedha)

We're now back on Jedha and I've told the other's about what I learned.

They all look at each other as they don't know what to say.

Hera: Y/N, are you...?

Y/N: I'm okay, Hera. I promise. And I know what I have to do.

Finn: You do?

Y/N: Yeah. I have to help her. I know she isn't fully committed to the Darkside. If she was, she would've killed me on Bogano when she had the chance.

Bode: Do you really think you can help?

Y/N: I do. She hesitated to kill me back on Bogano. I can sense the conflict and confusion inside her. She can come back to the light.

Kanan: No-one is ever really gone.

I smile.

Y/N: Exactly. Just like you taught me.

Zeb: So, how are you gonna find her?

Y/N: I don't know. That's what I need to figure out.

I leave to meditate on things. I will find my sister and bring her back from the darkness.

I owe it to my parents to save Serena.
