Chapter 62: A New Plan

Y/N's P.O.V

So, we make it to the battlefield and found Sabine's mother and brother alive.

It turns out Sabine made the weapon that attacked them and it targets Mandalore armor.

We escaped from the Empire and have just landed outside the Clan Kryze base.

Sabine and I walk out first as Mandalore's pull their blaster's on her.

Mandalorian: Sabine Wren!

I drop my helmet and ingite my purple blade.

Y/N: Back off, pal.

BD-2: (Angrily beeps!)

Mandalorian: We know you built that weapon. You betrayed us all!

Mandlorian #2: You're a traitor to Mandalore!

Sabine's parents and brother come out.

Alrich: Lower your weapons. Sabine did everything she could to stop this from happening. You must believe us.

Ursa: Any attacked on my daughter is an attack on Clan Wren.

Sabine: No.

She throws her helmet down.

Y/N: Sabine, what are you doing?

Sabine steps forward.

Sabine: I am prepared to take responsibility for my actions.

She looks to them all.

Sabine: It's true. I designed the weapon as a loyal student at the Imperial Academy. The Empire is using my prototype, but it's only working at a fraction of it's capacity. At full power it will destroy armies. So you have a choice to make. We can fight each other or we can destroy this weapon once and for all.

After that Bo-Katan steps forward and gives a speech, causing the Mandalorians to stand down.

I deactivate my lightsaber.

We then go inside to come up with a plan.

BD-2 brings up images of a Star Destroyer.

Alrich: Saxon has worked hard to keep the weapon a secret so he likely has it aboard his Imperial Star Destroyer. Outside of Sundari. Needless to say, it will be well guarded.

Y/N: Once we get inside that ship, we'll need two teams. One to find the weapon and one to wipe out every shred of data on it from the Imperial computer systems.

I look to Sabine.

Y/N: That's if you agree, Sabine?

She nods.

Sabine: I do. Y/N's right. That's how we have to do this.

Rau: Is there any chance we could turn the weapon against the Empire?

Sabine: I've studied Stormtrooper armor and while the thought has crossed my mind... no, no. We need to destroy it.

Ursa: I will lead the attack team.

Rau: With respect, Countess, you can barely hold a blaster.

Ursa: I'm just as good with my other hand.

Sabine, Yes, mum, but will need you for tactical support.

Ursa: So be it.

Sabine: If I can get to the weapon, I can make sure it's destroyed.

Bo-Katan: I'll get you there.

Kanan: Y/N and I will take BD to the data core.

Y/N: And we'll destroy all they've got on your weapon, Sabine. Don't worry.
