Chapter 47: A Space Battle

(One year later)

(4 BBY. Y/N's age: 19)

Y/N's P.O.V

For the past year I've continued to fight back against the Empire as apart of the Ghost Crew and Rogue Shadow Crew.

Everyday the Rebellion is growing more and more.

Right now we're in the middle of a space battle.

We're hitting a Imperial transport carrying fuel. We need it for our ship's.

I'm flying my X-Wing with Chopper as my droid partner for this one.

BD-2 is with Hera and Jacen on the Ghost right now.

Kanan is flying the Phantom.

I'm flying through taking out T.I.E fighters.

Just then I get skimmed by a shot from a T.I.E fighter that's behind me.

Two more T.I.E fighters show up.

Y/N: Well, that's not what I need right now.

Just then I hear Kanan over the comms.

Kanan: Y/N, where are you? We could use some back-up.

Y/N: Understood, Spectre One. I've got a bit of a situation on my tail. I'll be there when I can.

I try to get over to the Phantom, but I've still got those T.I.E's on my tail.

Chopper: (Grunts!)

Y/N: Yeah, Chop. I know they're still on us.

I then hear a friend over the comms.

Ketsu: Hang on, Jedi. I'm incoming.

I see Kestu's ship, the Shadow Caster fly in and takes the T.I.E's out on my tail.

Y/N: Thanks for the assist, Shadow Caster. Nice shooting.

Ketsu: Anytime. Plus, Sabine would kill me if you got blasted out of the sky.

I chuckle.

Y/N: You're not wrong. Just save some for the rest of us, yeah?

She laughs.

Ketsu: I make no promises.

I smile.

After that two more T.I.E's show up and fire heat-seeking missiles at my X-Wing and the Falcon.

Y/N: We've got heat-seeking missiles. Pull out!

Ketus: Yeah, I see 'em!

We split off as we both have two heat-seeking missiles after us.

Chopper: (Grunts!)

Y/N: We're gonna pull off a manoeuvre we know well, okay?

Chopper: (Grunts?)

Y/N: That's right. Now, standby and reverse thrusters.

I spin my X-Wing around and this causes the missiles to crash into each other and explode.

I smile.

Y/N: Works every time, Chopper.

Chopper: (Happily grunts!)

After that I see Kanan fly alongside me in his X-Wing.

Kanan: That was cheap, Y/N. Spinning isn't flying.

Y/N: Yeah, but I've been told it's a good trick.
