The next morning Kumotta woke up bright and early, got dressed wearing his F/c shirt and black pants, and made him some breakfast, despite what Kakashi Sensei had said about eating.
Kumotta: <thinking> Yeah screw what that cyclops asshole said, I ain't skipping breakfast.
After Kumotta finished eating he made his way to the training grounds to find everyone aside from Kakashi waiting.
Kumotta: <to the three> looks like I was right about Sensei not being on time.
No one responded as they were all extremely tired for having to wake up so early.
(Time skip)
Kumotta: Ugh, where is he? I knew he'd be late but not this late, it's getting close to lunch. I'm glad I ate breakfast.
Sakura: What?! Kumotta, Kakashi Sensei said we weren't supposed to eat breakfast!
Kumotta: That was obviously a trick on his part, a ninja should always be a full strength to prepare for any outcome. I couldn't care less if I throw up, as long as I'm at full strength I will be okay.
The three genin were shocked by what he had said. They hadn't thought of it like that, but now it makes much more sense.
Just then Kakashi finally had shown up.
Kakashi: Good morning everyone. Are you ready to begin today's exercise?
Naruto/Sakura/Kumotta: <all together> YOU'RE LATE!!!!!
Kakashi: Sorry about that, a black cat crossed my path so I had to take the long way around.
Kumotta: <annoyed> Thats the lamest excuse I have ever heard.
Kakashi: <clears his throat> Well, let's get started.
He walks over to three wooden posts and places an alarm clock on top of one of them. He then proceeds to set the alarm clock for noon.
The four genin then watch as he pulls out three bells
Kakashi: Your assignment is very simple, you must take these bells from me before noon to pass. If you don't get them by noon then you don't get lunch.
Everyone aside from Kumotta was shocked. They all sweared internally, remembering what Kumotta had told them.
Kumotta: I knew there was a reason you told us to skip breakfast. Well it's a good thing I didn't listen.
Kakashi just stared at Kumotta, in all honesty he was pissed the Kumotta went against what he said but he liked the fact that Kumotta saw through his deception.
Sakura: Wait a minute, why are there only three bells when there are four of us?
Kakashi: It's quite simple actually, because the one that doesn't get a bell will be disqualified and immediately sent back to the academy.
This shocked the four genin but Kumotta felt there was more to it than what was let on.
Kakashi: Then again, none of you could get a bell and you all would flunk out. You can use weapons of any sort. If you aren't prepared to kill me you will fail.
Kumotta: <thinking> Why would he put us against each other when the only clear way of getting the bells is to work together. He's a jonin, there is no way any of us could take him on individually.
Kumotta then suddenly realized the entire point of the exercise. He's got to hand it to Kakashi, any normal person wouldn't see through this.
Kakashi: When I say start you can begin.
