Kumotta woke up back in his old bed, confused and in pain.
Kumotta: Am I back at the village?
He could hear voices outside of his bedroom door. He got up and approached the door listening closely.
???: I know Kumotta isn't feeling good today so I decided to make his favorite. Ramen. He and ShiSui used to love this.
He flinched hearing his older brother's name, but that voice... it sounded so familiar... this entire scenario that is happening was very familiar... deja vu almost.
He opened the door to find his father and someone else standing and talking, unaware of Kumotta's presence. He saw his father putting on his Leaf Police Force jacket and heading to the door.
Kagami: Well Mae, I am off to do my routes. I shouldn't be out too late.
Mae...that wasn't his mother's name, but the woman who looked after him as a child.
Mae: Well don't be out too late or else Kumotta will get worried.
Suddenly a boy walked through Kumotta, almost as if Kumotta was a ghost. Oh now he gets it. It's this nightmare again.
Young Kumotta: Father let me go with you!
Kagami: Maybe tomorrow buddy, you have school tomorrow.
A shadowy figure appeared right behind Kagami. Kumotta knew all too well who this was and he screamed for his father. As the figure stabbed through his father's heart.
Kumotta: PAPA NO!
(Back into reality)
Kumotta shot up screaming.
Kumotta: PAPA!
Sakura who was sitting right by him rushed to his side, scared and worried for the boy.
Sakura: <worried> Kumotta it's me, it's just me. It's okay. You're okay.
Kumotta was panting and sweating, heart beating out of his chest like he was running for his life. He then reached out to Sakura and pulled her into a hug. Letting the tears fall out. Sakura embraces him and just holds the boy, not letting him go to assure him he is safe.
Kumotta: <wiping tears> I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm okay.
Sakura: You were having a nightmare. Was it...about Sagi-shi? Or was it something else?
Kumotta looked down at his hands and didn't respond.
Sakura: It's okay. You don't have to talk about it. How are you feeling? You were out for a couple days.
Kumotta: A couple days? Is everyone okay?
Sakura: Yeah, Naruto and Sasuke are out training while Kakashi Sensei is keeping an eye on the two.
Kumotta: How come you aren't with them?
Sakura: <smiling> well we were training on chakra control and how to walk up a tree with no hands. Turns out I have perfect chakra control, so I didn't need the training. Sasuke also asked me to keep an eye on you and to let him know when you wake up.
Kumotta: I see... well why don't we join them.
He then gets up and Sakura blushes turning around. Kumotta wasn't wearing a shirt and she could see his scarred body and could see the amount of training that paid off if you catch my drift.
