(Third person pov)
The following morning after Kumotta and Sasuke had their talk, with Kumotta knowing his intentions, Kumotta and Shikamaru were called into the Hokage's office.
Tsunade: Glad you two could make it.
Kumotta: Of course lady hokage, it was no big deal.
Shikamaru: May I ask what this is about?
Tsunade: With the circumstances around the chunin exams and them ending abruptly I normally wouldn't allow this. But Sarutobi sensei really took a liking to you boys. So with that being said, Shikamaru Nara and Kumotta Uchiha, I would like to announce you as Chunin of the hidden leaf village.
Shikamaru and Kumotta both bowed and thanked her but just as she was about to dismiss them a ninja came in announcing Sasuke's departure. She immediately assigned both boys on the case and told them to round up the strongest genin they can.
Shikamaru made his way to Choji while Kumotta made his way to Naruto. Kumotta explained the situation to Naruto, who was shocked by the situation and the two met back up with Shikamaru and Choji.
Kumotta: Alright, who next?
Shikamaru: Well we need someone who can track, I know you have your sensory abilities but we need someone who can spot a trap if need be.
Naruto: What about Shino.
???: Shino is out on a mission at the moment, need be I can lend a hand.
Kiba walks into view with Akamaru following very close behind.
Kumotta: <sweatdrops> Shikamaru please tell me we aren't bringing Kiba...
Kiba: <pissed off> What th- WHAT THE HELL KUMOTTA, YOU THINK YOU ARE BETTER THAN ME?!!!!
Kumotta: <shrugs and smirks> No need thinking about it we don't need two liabilities now, we already have Naruto.
Naruto/Kiba: WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU ASSHOLE?!!!
Shikamaru: <annoyed> ENOUGH! Kiba you can join us and Kumotta just zip it. Now we just need one more and we are good to go.
Kumotta: Meet me by the gate, I know exactly who to bring.
Meanwhile
Kumotta: TENTEN!!!
Tenten: <confused/concerned> What? Kumotta? Is everything okay?
Kumotta: Well Sasuke left the village and I am gathering a team to bring him back but I need your help.
Tenten: <determined> Let me get my things
She's about to take off when Kumotta stops her.
Kumotta: Actually I just need to know where Neji is...
Tenten deadpans towards him
Tenten: <disappointed> He's with Lee by the hospital.
Kumotta: Thank you Tenten <he kisses her cheek then runs off> bye!
Tenten stands there blushing and confused.
Tenten: <blushing> What just happened...
With Neji
Neji: <to lee> That's good, you'll be better in no time.
Lee: Thank you Neji.
Suddenly Kumotta appeared in front of them.
Kumotta: Thank goodness I found you, Neji I need your help.
Neji: Kumotta? Is everything alright?
Kumotta: Far from it, Sasuke has abandoned the village and is going to meet up with Orochimaru.
