Chapter 16: Konoha Crush

(Back at the arena)

After Kumotta and Neji's fight Kumotta was declared the winner, Kumotta then passed out and was taken to the hospital along with Neji.

After that the next match up began

Shikamaru vs Temari

The fight was intense, Temari was clearly the stronger fighter but this came down to strategy. In which Shikamaru was clearly better at.

The fight continued for quite a while until Shikamaru was able to catch Temari in his shadow possession jutsu and she couldn't move. But just when it looked like Shikamaru won he forfeited the match.

Everyone, Temari included, was utterly shocked at this display. Shikamaru went on to explain how he simply didn't have enough chakra to continue. If he did he would have won his match.

After that Naruto's match against Kankuro was up... that is until Kankuro forfeited his match causing Naruto to get very annoyed and upset.

Then we had Fuu vs Dosu... in which Fuu became the winner because Dosu was no where to be found.

The crowd was starting to get upset because of the forfeits and no shows. They were about to announce Naruto vs Fuu to wait for Sasuke but Sasuke showed up just in time for his match with Gaara.

Everyone in the arena cheered for this was one of the matches they were most excited for.

The match began with Sasuke trying to get around Gaara's sand, then Sasuke picked up the speed making it almost impossible for Gaara's sand to react quick enough.

Sasuke kept landing punch after punch so Gaara trapped himself in a sand dome. Sasuke took the time to ready his new jutsu... Chidori.

In almost an instant Sasuke jabbed his hand through the sand and straight into Gaara's shoulder. Gaara then let out a blood curling scream.

Gaara: BLOOD!!!! I'M BLEEDING!!!!!

Sasuke then struggled to free his arm from the sand but ultimately managed to do so. When he looked in the hole that was left from his attack, he could see the eyes of a monster which frightened the boy.

Suddenly everyone in the arena started to be coated in a genjutsu, in which those that caught on released themselves.

(Back at the hospital)

Neji had just passed out again after waking from the genjutsu. When a man with a blindfold walked in and walked over to Kumotta.

Blind man: <to Kumotta> Well don't you look like shit.

He then places his hand on the boys chest and instantly heals his wounds and repairs his chakra flow.

Blind man: Consider this a gift from your mother

He then walks out of the room.

(Kumotta pov)

I was standing alone in a dark void thinking to myself when suddenly I heard a woman's voice.

???: Come my child, it is time to awaken.

I open my eyes and everything is bright as hell.

Kumotta: Am I dead?

I then proceeded to punch myself in the gut and fall to the floor.

Kumotta: <in pain> nope... very much alive... ow...

I get up and look around and see Neji asleep on his hospital bed. But before I can do anything the hospital starts to shake so I run to the window and look outside to see a giant snake attacking the village.
