A couple days had passed since that final matchup in the preliminaries. Kumotta had to sit and recover in the hospital but while a was doing that Sakura visited with him from time to time. While she was there Kumotta had asked if she didn't mind helping him with some genjutsu training. She felt that he needed to rest more to recover but was reassured when she found out it was just Sharigan training.

(Flashback)

Kumotta: Alright I'm gonna place you under a genjutsu, it won't be anything too crazy so just try and relax.

Sakura: Okay.

Kumotta activated his sharigan and placed Sakura under a genjutsu, once she was under it he immediately let her out of it.

Kumotta: Okay, now I want to test my theory. Hold up that piece of glass and put it in front of your eyes.

She does as he asked, he then tries to place her under a genjutsu but it doesn't work.

Kumotta: Okay you can place it down now.

Sakura places down the glads frame and looks at the boy who seems to be lost in thought.

Kumotta: <thinking> That's such a bullshit disability, so how can I overcome that?

Sakura: Kumotta, may I ask why you are doing this?

Kumotta: To prevent what happened with my fight against Kabuto.

Sakura: What do you mean?

Kumotta: Well it's a little hard to explain but I will do my best. At the very beginning of the fight, I tried placing him under a genjutsu with my Sharigan, but it didn't work.

Sakura: Wait, how?

Kumotta: Because of his glasses.

Sakura: How does that make any sense? Wouldn't you just need to see his eyes for you to place him under one?

Kumotta: Ideally, yes. But when I had you hold the glass up it didn't work either. That glass you held up, did you have a clear vision of me? Or was it blurry?

Sakura: It was a little blurry...

Kumotta: Right, so it messed with my vision too.

Sakura: Wait I still don't get this?

Kumotta: So the reason I couldn't place you underneath one is because looking through that glass with my Sharigan, distorts my vision and doesn't give me a clear line of sight. In other words, I need time train more to prevent this from happening. Especially against Neji, with his byakugan all he needs to do is wear a blindfold or some bullshit. So I need to stop relying on my eyes so much.

Sakura: So what are you going to do?

Kumotta: Well, I could learn a new jutsu, one thag could blind my moves and get me up close and personal, or I could work on my taijutsu skills so I can handle myself better.

Sakura: I see...

Kumotta: I guess I'll figure that out once I'm out of here. Thank you for stopping by to see me Sakura.

Sakura blushed at what he said.

Sakura: Of course!

(Flashback ends)

Kumotta could be seen sitting on top of the Hokage stone faces, thinking to himself.

Kumotta: <thinking> Neji Hyuga...

All that kept replaying in his mind was Sagi-Shi's last words to him... 'forgive me Kumotta'.

Kumotta: <thinking> How am I going to be able to beat him? He's definitely a close ranged fighter. Sure all I need to do is put him underneath a genjutsu, but my fight with Kabuto opened up my eyes a little bit.
