Erik and Christine: Loves Secret (A Phantom of the Opera Story)

Chapter 13

For the next few days, Christine went to see her Angel (Erik) for her daily voice lessons. During the lessons, Christine and Erik felt like their feelings for one another were growing stronger. Within each lesson, Erik and Christine missed their chance to tell one another how they feel. Even though they know they want to understand each other how they feel; they are afraid of what to say and what the other would say and do.

At the mansion, Christine is grabbing her coat from the coat hanger. A servant opens the door for her. "I need to go to the village for more music sheets and some other things for the engagement party coming up. Can you please get the carriage?" Christine asked. The servant tilts his head down and replies, "Yes, Miss Daae." He leaves the door open and heads towards carriage house to fetch the carriage.

Once Christine is in town, she enters the passageway to his domain. As she makes her way down to his domain, she thinks to herself, "Remember. Don't sing. Just get him to talk. I need to know more about him." Once she enters his domain, she hears Erik playing beautiful music and is intoxicated by the sound. "Awe. I sometimes forget how beautiful his music truly is. Especially the on the night he sang to me when he brought me down where he lived. He was so romantic," she thought. She closes her eyes and pictures that moment and makes a silent sigh. "I felt his passion, and I'll never forget how intimate he was when he held me in his arms. I'll never forget it," she said in her mind. Erik turns around and notices the expression on Christine's face. He is pleased that she not only has arrived but is reminiscing the sound of his playing.

"Enjoying the music I'm playing?" Erik curiously asks. Christine blinks several times as she is confused yet that Erik had stopped playing and is asking her a question. "How long have you known that I've been here?" she asked. Erik stands up and walks towards her.

"I sensed your presence," he replied.

"He sensed I was coming? Awe," she thought with a smile on her face.

"Anyway, are you ready for your lesson today?" Erik asked.

"Actually, I was wondering if we could just talk today," Christine said with curiosity. Erik looks away as he is confused to why she wants to talk and is also afraid of what she will ask of him. "She wants to talk? Maybe it would be a good idea," he thought. Erik looks back at Christine and notices her eyes sparkling. He sighs and replies, "If that is what you wish." Erik walks towards one of his chairs and sits down. He gestures to Christine to sit down in the chair across from him. She nods her head and sits down. "What would you like to talk about?" he asked.
