I know we have only been dating for a year now but I have been in love with you for all my life...so....will you marry me Marina Gates?, Jason added and knelt before me as my parents stopped what they're doing and looked at me surprisingly.

Oh, babe, you won't regret it! I will love you and will have as many kids as you want!, Jason replied happily, jumping up and down after hugging and kissing me on the cheek.

Jason...I would like to tell you one more thing too! I'm preg.....!, Marina was about to tell Jason and her family the good news when Jason's phone sounded, it's the alarm for Gateway Laboratory in NYC. Hang on baby, need to take this call!

I'm pregnant!, Marina said quietly. Then, thought she can tell him about it later then. Her phone rang too and the alarm went off suddenly and flashed a hologram of her assistant Riggs to tell her that she found something unusual in the humanoids they have been helping and transforming after surgeries into half human and half robot. Punutao is also been tried to several patients who can withstand plants and tree roots to blend in with their veins and arteries or let's just say finding compatibility with their human nervous system and all.

Riggs, what's up?, Marina asked and Riggs explained about the issue.

This is new to us too, Rina, the patients who received Punotao surgeries have grown strong but they suddenly turn into living trees. Though they could sustain life they still need to get more sustenance as human and collagens, cells promoting human DNA to completely be human and live as one always. When that happens the punotao can live as long as an immortal and a tree can or for hundreds of years or so!, Riggs added.

Wow! That's amazing, but how will we do that?, Rina added.

We need to use Jason's cell and rig it, feed it and experiment on it to make sure that we can strengthen it to withstand that transformations and changes so we can do it with him and the other subjects!, Riggs said

Okay, let's do that, Jason said and Riggs said her goodbyes and went off the scale. Hologram turned off and silence filled the dining room. Okay, that was swell! Honey!, what were you saying about preg....what's preg...mean?, Gwen said. Jack and Jason looking at me in unison.

Aha...yeah, I was about to say that I'm pregnant???

Haaa...oh, my goodness, honey, that's great!, Jack and Gwen said and hugged me. But Jason stared at me blankly with a sad face and turned his back on me.

Baby, what's the matter, you're not happy that you're going to be a dad?, I added walking right up to him.

No, babe, I am so happy that I got scared. What if the experiments turn bad or worse unsuccessful. How can I be able to care for you and our baby, if I am a tree and not human?, Jason, worried.

Don't worry babe, we will fight it and I know you will get through it. You will see your daughter and we will be together for as long as we live!, I assured him.

They want to take her away from me so I will protect her even if I need to destroy them or even you, if it comes to that!

Rina?, I added and she looked at me furious. When I moved closer and hugged her big form, she stopped and breathed slow, calmly. She looked at me differently, now, full of love and forgiveness.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....baby, Rina, ahhhhh, huh, ha...ha..hahhhhhhhh!, what a strange dream!, Jason thought sweating though he isn't wearing any shirt. He moved his eyes to look for Rina. She is gone. Jason walked to search for his fiancée and found her in the kitchen seated on the edge of the sink's side, munching on the cake we bought for mom and dad, her parents.

Hehe! I laughed and now I remembered my dream. She is slowly becoming bigger and her tummy is getting obvious by the days we are vacationing in Tuscany. The air and environment is good for her. So much, that as if she doesn't want to leave the place anymore.

Always!, hihi!, Rina said and smiled with the icing filling her upper lip which I licked when I kissed her mouth since she's so cute now I couldn't resist but eat her too.

I just wish we can stay like this forever!, Jason thought and hugged Rina feeling a bit scared with how things are going with him and the experiment as a 'punotao'. I know if there is a God, he will save me. God please owe me this one, my second life, so I can be with my family in future and see my daughter grow, graduate or have a family of her own, maybe?! Huh...haaa, I hope he is listening too.
