Chapter 10

"Where?" Kavya questioned, while a feather settled in her hair. She saw how Karn's hand was moving towards her — or her hair to be precise. In a blink his hand was gone and was infront of her, holding the feather. "I didn't know that magic is also something which comes under yours expertise" A smile on her face as she grabbed the feather from his hand and twisted it with her fingers.

"You didn't answer my question yet" She whispered as she looked straight into Karn's eyes, looking for some kind of hint. But they didn't show her anything except admiration, as much as it warmed her heart, she was eager to know where she was going to go.

"You fell asleep in the evening by the way and absolutely missed dinner. It's past midnight I suppose" The son of the Sun God said, keeping his eyes locked with hers. His hands slowly moved forward as it took Kavya's hand in his.
"Trust me" He said, holding her hand firmly.

She nodded as she saw Karn walk out of her room, leaving her to get ready. He touched your hand! Oh my god! Her mind screamed in happiness as she quickly got up from the bed and did a little jump, the adrenaline pumping through her veins. She couldn't contain her happiness as she continuously looked at the hand he had just touched.

With each look, came a new, unique dance step, which would be well suited as jumping. But it didn't stop her. Kavya knew how horrible her dancing was but her happiness had taken over. She jumped towards her cupboard and wore her yellow saree, wanting to match Karn's outfit.

While wearing the saree, Kavya's stomach grumbled and she deeply regretted falling asleep and skipping dinner. After all, food was life. A groan escaped her lips as she felt her stomach grumble again. She quickly draped her saree and went outside to see Karn standing, facing the silver crescent in the sky.

She stood there, at the front of her door, admiring the warrior standing in front of her. "You shouldn't stare at people." She heard him say. A small smile played on her lips as she replied back "I am not staring, I am gazing." And took one step forward.

"Your anklets do make a beautiful sound" Still staring at the moon, he said that, not knowing he made Kavya blush. Blushing she stood fixed in her place, not wanting to move from somewhere which represented her dreams — the most beautiful ones.

Karn finally turned towards her as he moved towards her and said, "Come with me." She simply nodded as she followed him, not knowing where he was going but trusting him to always take her to a good place.

"I am so hungry" She said, desperately wanting to start a conversation. "I know, we are going to the kitchen." He said as he hesitantly tried to take her hand in his.

Kavya noticed the gesture and smiled to herself and quickly made up an excuse to hold his hand. "My hands are really cold, will you mind holding them for a while?" She showed her puppy eyes, not leaving a chance for him to say no or anything other than a solid yes.

She cringed inside because of the cheesy line she just said, wanting to smack her head against a wall. Since when are you so cringe Kavya! Her inner voice boomed as she looked down in embarrassment. What the hell is wrong with me? Ugh! Now he will think that I am some cringe idiot who doesn't even know how to flirt! Ugh!

"Sure. Your hands seem almost blue." He held her hand in his and unconsciously started drawing circles in it. She was shocked to say the least. He responded to my cringe line? What the hell? Her mouth became a bit wide as she walked forward, holding his hand.

"Close your mouth or a fly will enter your body." He gently pushed Kavya's chin upwards, closing her mouth while laughing to himself. She was now heavily uncomfortable. She said the worst flirting line in her entire existence and kept her mouth open like some idiot from Mars.
