Chapter 13

Kavya was walking towards the dinning hall with the slowest steps possible, her mind frenzy and trying to comprehend what had happened between her and Karn. She could not believe that she was touched in the way which she was by Karn. Her mind was flooded with the picture of those golden brown eyes and the warm touch of his hands. Before she could stop herself, a squeal escaped her mouth as she jumped out of delight.

"KRISHNA CAN YOU HEAR ME?" Kavya whisper screamed, eager to tell someone her thoughts and let out all her happiness. Yes sakhi, I can always hear you. The most divine voice boomed in her head and her smile just grew brighter. "He almost kissed me. Tell me that means he likes me." Kavya coukd nit finish the sentence without smiling, her hazel eyes were reflecting happiness and her face was the brightest in the palace of Hastinapur. I think he likes you, just enough. Kavya smiled and said, "This is the best news I have received in a while you know?"

I know and I love the fact that I am the one giving you the greatest news you have heard in a while. Krishna replied smugly. "Oh shut up." Kavya tried to sum up fake anger but her happiness was failing her even act angry for split seconds. The happiness she felt was like the warm and fluffy blanket people cover themselves up in winter. She could feel herself being dragged into a realm of pure bliss and she absolutely had no intentions of leaving that realm.

Walking forward being immersed in her happiness Kavya did not realise how she was heading towards a pillar and not the dinning hall. "Ouch!" She shrieked when her head crashed against the hard pillar of the castle and she was forcefully brought out of her realm. YOU ARE SO STUPID! Krishna's voice boomed in Kavya's head as she scoffed hard and whispered some curse words at him. Mind your language young lady. Kavya could feel the Krishna smiling just by the tone of his voice and like always, his smile was enough to melt away her anger, her irritation, the slightest ones and even the biggest ones. "I hate you, shush."

You know you love me and I love you too Kavya.

"I am going to go and have my breakfast now and you do the same." Kavya whispered and quietly headed towards the dinning hall, her smile never wearing off. On entering the the dining hall her eyes met his golden brown ones and immediately his face was lightened up. Ang Raj Karn was not smiling much with Duryodhan at that time, his mind was stuck on Kavya and her hazel eyes. He was constantly zoning out, his mind imagining her face over and over again and Ang Raj was now glad to have finally see that wonderful face he had been imagining for so long.

Food which previously looked pale to him had suddenly become fresh. The conversation with Duryodhan which he was not able to hear much was finally audible to him and that was only possible because of her hazel eyes. A smile had stretched over his face and he wanted to call Kavya and make her sit beside him but before he could do any of that, Rajmata Kunti had herself gone to Kavya and brought her to sit beside her.

A part of him was disappointed but he was glad that she was at least sitting opposite to him, giving him the chance to look at her face all he wants. He was not realising but he was already staring at her hazel eyes which did not go unnoticed by Kavya. She was staring back into those eyes with equal amounts of love and admiration. Being with him was like playing with fire for her - dangerous and beautiful. "Kavya dear, eat. You need to travel." Her trance was broken my Kunti and she had to bring her gaze back to the food and not keep it on his face.

"Yes maa, I am eating, don't worry." Kavya stuffed the delicious food in her mouth still occasionally glancing at Ang Raj, the warmth of his touch replaying in her mind with every look she got of him. In the game of stealing glances of each other, both Kavya and Karn were finally caught when their eyes met. She could not describe the butterflies she got when their eyes met. She could feel herself getting so happy that she was doubting reality. Her mind had automatically started playing Jagjit Singh's songs and she felt as though she was in a bollywood movie.
