Scarlet groaned, as she sat up and tried to fix her vision. Once she could somewhat see straight, she looked around with furrowed eyebrows. She had woken up on the Sunset Strip, and she had no idea how she had gotten there. Standing up, she felt like her body had been thrown down a mountain.
She slowly began remembering the witch and whatever she was chanting. She cursed quietly, after she realized the witch had sent her there. Quickly, she began to check her pockets for her phone. When she pulled the phone from her pocket, she turned it on, only to see that she had absolutely no bars. She tried moving around a bit, but she still found no connection.
Groaning, she went into a nearby restaurant to ask someone for their phone. When she walked inside though, she realized that something was very wrong. Everyone was dressed weird, and there wasn't any TVs hanging up or people on their phones as they ate. The people's hair was wild and voluminous, much like rock bands in the eighties. Her eyes widened when she realized what time she could possibly be in.
"Oh, crap." She murmured, before she quickly turned to leave the restaurant.
She looked around and sighed in relief, when she seen a magazine stand nearby. She quickly went over and grabbed a magazine from the stand. The man at the stand gave her a dirty look, telling her she had to pay for the magazine, but she glared at him and her glare was so intense it made him turn around. Quickly, her eyes scanned the magazine, before she found the date, December 28th, 1980.
Back in her time, it was not quite December yet, and it sure as hell wasn't 1980. She had managed to go back in time almost twenty five years. She had to figure out a way to go back home, but she had no idea where to find a witch, or what to do to find one. She had never lived in California, so she didn't know where to find people or how to find connections.
She was beginning to panic. She didn't know where to go or what to do. She had never been in a situation like this before, and she had been in many sticky situations. She had dealt with bailing her family out of jail, breaking them out of jail, pretending to be someone else, and sneaking into places, but she never dealt with something like this.
"I got to get outta here." She murmured, as she began her walk down the Sunset Strip.
As she was walking around, she tried to see if she could tell if someone was supernatural. She didn't have any of her weapons on her, she was left feeling naked. While she was walking around though, she accidentally ran into someone. The person let out a 'umph,' but Scarlet wasn't so lucky. She managed to lose her balance and hit the ground with a thud.
"Oh fuck!" The man exclaimed, as he held his hand out to help her up, "Are you hurt? God, I'm so fucking sorry."
"Shit happens," She grumbled, as she grabbed his hand,"I think I bruised my ass." She added jokingly, hoping to lighten the mood.
"I'm uh, Tommy," He said,"Tommy Lee."
"Scarlet Winchester," She replied,"but just call me Scar."
"You're lookin' a little lost, Scar." He commented, and she shrugged.
"I'm not lost, I'm just not entirely sure where I am." She answered, causing him to chuckle.
"That means you're lost, Scar." He retorted, and she rolled her eyes playfully.
"Fine, I'm lost." She grumbled, making him laugh.
"Need me to point you somewhere?" He asked,"I think I know my way around here." He added, causing her to shrug.
"Can you point me to a witch?" She asked, raising an eyebrow, making him look at her like she was joking.
"Funny," He commented,"how about lunch?" He questioned,"You look like you might be hungry."
Scarlet simply nodded, and followed Tommy to the nearest restaurant. She didn't say anything obviously, since she realized that she was a few weeks early from the start of Mötley Crüe, but she knew Tommy. He was the drummer of Mötley Crüe, one of her favorite bands of all time. She use to force Dean to listen to them all the time, until he eventually learned to love them as well.
Since she couldn't really fangirl over meeting someone she had always wanted to meet, she had to pretend to be just like any other girl in 1980. Well, she wasn't just like any other girl, but she had to at least pretend to be a little normal. She didn't want Tommy running for the hills, and telling everyone she was crazy.
Tommy brought Scarlet to the nearest restaurant, and the two got a booth together. Scarlet was actually surprised at how easy-going and fun Tommy really was. He could crack a joke and actually make her laugh, which was kind of hard for some people. She was also fascinated by how well he could spin his drumstick with his fingers without even looking at them.
"So, yeah, I want to be in a band. I think I'd make a pretty kick-ass drummer. I mean, I've been practicing for years." He commented, and she nodded.
"I think you'd be great in a band," She replied,"You have any ideas of who to start a band with or anything?" She asked, but he shook his head.
"I haven't really heard anyone worth working with," He admitted,"but I know I will soon. It can't be hard to find someone worth working with." He added, a smile making its way to his face.
"Have you put out any ads?" She asked, remembering that this was the way things happened a lot at this time.
"Not yet, but I will. I just have to find the right time." He answered, and she smiled.
"Well, I'll definitely help you if you need it. I'm not good at making music, but I think I've got a good ear for knowing if a band sounds good or not." She commented, making him laugh.
"Yeah?" He lifted an eyebrow,"I'll definitely have you at all the rehearsals and tryouts. You'll be like a personal fan or crowd or something." He said, laughing quietly.
She couldn't stop the smile that made its way to her face. Even in a time like this, she actually felt a little more at ease with Tommy. She could definitely see herself being friends with him, if it wasn't for the fact that being a hunter made friendships almost impossible...
