Scarlet had started to lose hope. It had been months, but she still hadn't found a way to get back to her brothers. No amount of reading was getting her the information she wanted or the news she had hoped for. She wasn't getting home anytime soon, and she was devastated.

The more and more she failed at getting home, the more she started hanging around the boys. She felt like she had something to hold on to when she was with them. She didn't completely feel like she was alone and forgotten and hopeless around them. Not to mention, when she was with them, she was doing a lot more coke, though she had tried to not do that to herself after she first tried it with Nikki and Tommy.

Scarlet was around often for their band practices, and she went to quite a few of their shows. She didn't get to go to all, considering she still had to work for her money. Technically, she was supporting herself and them, not to mention, she was also supporting their not so good habits. She knew it was bad, but she really didn't want to believe that she was starting to have a small problem.

She knew soon the guys would be getting a record label, but she wasn't sure of the exact day. Time was passing for her though, and she really wasn't happy with how fast time was passing. The more time that passed, the more chances she'd have to go home were dwindling. She knew that one day she wouldn't have anymore chances because she'd one day not be able to find a way home.

She and the boys would often do lines before and after the shows, and when they had small parties at the apartment, they would do lines with other people. Scarlet thought it was a little reckless what they were doing, but she was in the middle, too, and it wasn't looking too good for anyone.

As the guys got bigger, Scarlet spent more and more time with them. She helped them a bit when it came to music, because sometimes they'd ask her about lyrics and lines for different songs they were creating. She loved hearing what lyrics they were going to use, and how she was able to help change the lyrics to exactly what she remembered them to be.

Scarlet had bought a journal recently to write down everything she was experiencing since she came back to the past. She wrote the things she had experienced the first date, all the way up to the present day, well, present day for her. Her brothers would eventually get the journals, and the entries would no longer be recent or present time, the entries would be years in the past — almost like the entries from their father in his journal.

The more she lost hope, the more she wondered if she should find her mother and father, to see if they could get her back to the future. By this time, her parents were married, and Dean had been born. He wouldn't be old enough to remember her being there in the future, but she almost wondered if seeing them and leaving Dean something for when he was older would be something wrong or not. She could buy him a necklace, and he could wear it once he got older.

"Hey V, how bad do you think breaking and entering would be, if I didn't get caught?" Scarlet asked, after doing a line with the blonde singer.

"Why?" He asked,"Did you break into someone's house? Do I need to tell the others that we need to keep you hidden?"

"No," She answered, shaking her head with a chuckle,"I had this weird thought to try it once and see what happens, y'know?" She lied,"I wouldn't really take anything, I just want to try it."

"Maybe you shouldn't do it close to home. We wouldn't want our girl getting arrested." Vince commented, and she simply nodded.

"Well, when we go to Kansas one day, that's when I'll do it." She replied, making him chuckle.

"That was oddly specific." He said, and she shrugged as if she hadn't really thought about it.

"I just picked a place, don't read into it. It's not even that serious." She answered, causing him to laugh.

"Well, when you do it, I wanna be there. I'll be the lookout." He replied, and this time she was the one to laugh.

Scarlet would probably need a lookout, so Vince wasn't a horrible idea. Besides, if he wanted to be there, and she told him no, for all she knew, he could rat her out. She didn't peg him for being a rat, but she didn't know every detail about these guys yet. She would eventually if she stayed in the past, but she kind of hoped she didn't.

"You think we'll get big enough to make it all the way to Kansas?" Vince asked, as he laid his head on Scarlet's shoulder.

"Of course," She answered, leaning her head against the top of his,"You guys are amazing. Anyone would be an idiot if they didn't like you or didn't sign you to their label. I know one day soon your dreams will come true, and you'll be the biggest Rockstar in the world."

"When we get big, I'm going to buy you a sweet ass car." He commented, making her chuckle.

"Why?" She asked, and she heard him sigh slightly.

"You've been by our side since the band started," He answered,"You're like my best friend, maybe even like my sister. I want to show you how much you mean to me and the rest of us. You're our first fan, and you'll always be our favorite."

"You're sweet," She commented,"and I'll always appreciate you."

She never expected to have a heart to heart with Vince, but she liked it. Vince was like a brother to her, especially with the teasing and stupid little arguments they would get into. She loved him, like she loved her brothers, and that was something that she would never let slip from her fingers...
