He would prefer to be anywhere but the ball he was attending for some charity function the Cassadine's were sponsoring . He was inattentively dancing with his fake girlfriend Skye but his mind was on another woman, the woman he's been watching the French doors for Kristina Corinthos-Davis and the date he heard she was bringing. He wasn't jealous. He was just making sure that the kid was good enough for Krissy and Skye was doing him a favor by pretending to be his date. Ethan had been straining his neck for the last thirty minutes trying to get a glimpse of Kristina and paying no attention whatsoever to Skye.
His date just rolled her eyes as she was moved across the floor in the poorest excuse for ballroom dancing she had ever witnessed. Her partner was too occupied trying to get a glimpse of Miss. Kristina to pay attention to the movements of the dance . She didn't get Ethan. He wasn't that much older than Kristina and sparks practically flew when those two were near one another. Truth be told, Kristina was the main and only reason Skye never got serious about the Aussie. Plus talk about your double standard, Skye was over a decade older than Ethan. Even though she was too much a lady to ever do such things, a part of her wanted to give Ethan a good swift kick to the ass. She was too much of a romantic to not attempt to talk a little sense into the man.
Ethan finally spotting Kristina as she walked through one of the many opened sets of double French doors in the ballroom as she made her way towards her cousin Nikolas. She looked stunning in a long halter style green silk dress and the cassadine diamonds present around her neck and her ears. Ethan hadn't seen her since pushing her away and greedily took in the sight of her. He gave her date a quick once over, and one word came to mind. Asshole. His eyes narrowed to slits as he watched the kid slide his hand down to rest on Kristina's hip. He clenched his fist in an effort to stop himself from marching across the room and beating that handsy kid to a bloody pulp.
Not being able to take it anymore. He stalked his way over to the group of people ,including his father, stepmother, and his siblings, before speaking in a quiet but threatening tone that was only heard by the group
"If you touch her in anyway I will kill you" he said before leaving the mansion leaving the group in shock. But not enough that Kristina started to walk away from the group before Sam grabbed her arm.
"Sweetheart please don't you are just going to get hurt"
Kristina didn't care about the warning as she followed the path where Ethan left on
"This is going to be bad" Sam spoke before leaning into her husbands arms
As Kristina made her way to the drive way outside the manor she saw that ethan was nowhere to be found but she did see the captain of one of the many ships to leave the island. As she made her way towards him he spoke to her
"Hello miss corinthos what can I do for you this evening?"
"I'm ready to head back to the main land"
The short boat ride gave Kristina time to come up with a plan about how she was going to ask Ethan about why he threatened her date before practically running out. She made her way to the haunted star seeing the man of all her desire at the bar downing shots of scotch
"Ethan"
"Kristina you shouldn't be here"
"There's no other place I would rather be..... Ethan why did you threaten my date I mean your the one who keeps saying we are just friends and then you do this. What do you want from me.............."
Ethan leaned in and passionately kissed the young women who he's grown to love.as the pulled away Kristina began to speak in a confused tone
"What.."
"I did it because I have been an obtuse bastard, and I cannot stand the thought of any man touching you, but me."
"Ethan I love you so much and there is no one else that I have ever wanted to be with."
"What about Mr preppy boy"
"I only brought him to make you jealous"
Ethan hoarsely laughed before capturing her lips again before being pushed towards his room where they spent the night showing how much they loved and missed each other
"Just in case it wasn't clear I love you too Kristina"
