"Hi, is this Logan Bennett speaking?"
"This is him, who's this?"
"This is Nurse tali at Northern district hospital. We are calling because you are Mackenzie Booth emergency contact."
"What's going on with Mac?" He asked quickly,cutting off the nurse.
"Mackenzie was brought in after passing out. While She had a heart attack. She's in surgery currently and we'll now more once she's out."
As the phone call ended Logan didn't know what to do. He felt frozen in his current position. But He knew he needed to be there.
That evening he came strutting into the hospital.Like a man on a mission.
"Good evening sir, how may I help you" the sweet nurse working the desk asked the young man in front of her.
"I'm looking for Mackenzie Booth room"
"And who are you in relation to the patient"
"Her boyfriend and emergency contact"
"She's in room 564 on the cardiovascular floor"
He made his way to her room, knocking lightly before entering. Making his way towards her bedside, grabbing her hand lightly before kissing it.
"Mac, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I hurt you a lot before I left and I regret that everyday and I will regret it for the rest of my life. I wish I could go back and make different choices. I wish I talked to you instead of getting drunk and yelling at you. Please just wake up, we all need your beautiful smile back in our lives.please" he felt tears trickle down as he laid his head on the bed. He stayed like that for a minute before feeling a small hand run through his hair.
"Mac"
"Logan" she smiled at him while still running her hand through his hair.
"I heard everything you said. I forgive you Logan, I've forgiven you a long time ago."
He captured her hand in his before lightly kissing it.
"Do you need anything Mac before I go get the doctor."
"No, I'm good but thank you for coming! by the way how did you even know I was in the hospital?"
"Apparently I'm still your emergency contact babe"
He kissed her cheek lightly before leaving the room to find a doctor or nurse. While Mac lightly brushed her fingers over her cheek with a huge smile taking over her face. She was happy for the first time in a while.
