Next day

Gauri's POV

We were getting ready to go to some famous streets of Goa and look around then at evening we have beach time and bornfire planned.

I wore whitewashed skinny jeans and a short white kurta. It was simple yet had the breezy summer vibe to it. Tied my hair as a mid high ponytail and put my sunglasses on my head for now.

Anushka wore denim shorts and a long pale blue t-shirt. Her hear were open and right now she's applying ton of perfume.

"Why so much perfume?"
She looked at me and replied
"It's sweaty out there. Duh."
"What about deo?"
"I applied that too. But I wanna smell like flowers as well."

Okay.

"As you say... hopefully you don't end up attracting alot of bees instead of Shaurya.."
I gave her a naughty look with raised eyebrows and she looked at me with wide eyes.

"What the fuck, Gauri???"
"Whaaat? Did I say something wrong?"
"Shut up."

She rolled her eyes as she finally moved away from the mirror.

"Oh see you're blushing~"
She grabbed her purse
"Shut up!!"

With that she exited the room while walking in fast pace.

I giggled and exited as well, locking the door as I go.

We boarded the bus and I saw Shekhar sit on the aisle and his window seat was empty. A smile creeped on my face when we made eye contact and he smiled back as well.

Behind him was Shaurya. He was smiling too but not at me. At someone behind me.

Buhahaha.

I walked towards Shekhar and he shifted a bit to let me pass and sit on the window side.

And Anushka sat by Shaurya. Obviously.
After 7-8 minutes everyone had finally boarded and the bus started moving towards our destination.

It was quiet between us. He was listening to music with his earpods on.

I was kind of disappointed, I wished we talked but I don't want to disturb his peace.
I wish I was his music.

Yesterday night's walk kept repeating itself in my mind each second I spent sitting beside him. Our shoulders slightly touching. Oh how much I wanna keep my head on it.

The peace I get by simply being side him...

This'll ... hurt.

"Gauri?"

My thoughts broke as I hear him say my name. My attention towards him now.

"Yeah?"
"Wanna hear music?"

He said as he offered me one of his earpod.
I stared at it. He wants to listen music with me??

That's-

"Hello?"
"Huh?"
"You're lost. I asked if you wanna hear music?"
"Yea- yeah yes sure!"

I grabbed the single earpod from his hand and put it in my ear.

He slightly smiled at me

"Hope you like my music taste"
"Hahaha sure sure. Play."

And he played "Masakali" from Delhi-6 movie.
I like that song. Fitted the vibe at the moment.

We finally reached.

How I got to know?

Cause Shekhar shook me

"Wake up, we reached"

I fell asleep. On. His. Shoulders.

Can I scream? No? Okay.

I hurriedly got up while being half asleep. We both got out of the bus.

Shekhar's POV

My smile couldn't redeem itself cause Gauri slept on my shoulders. And my disappointment is huge that we reached the destination so fast.

I mean it was far but you know how time seems to go faster when the woman you lowkey like sleeps on your. I repeat. YOUR shoulders?

Yes. That.

Anyways.

We walked in groups and I looked around for Shaurya. And I spotted him walking with Anushka.

Ah.

Man down.

This is how it is now? He abandons me?
Wasn't he my wife?

Lol.

I'm happy for him.

I took out my phone to play music as I walked but realised how it only played in my left ear.

Then it clicked me. Gauri's still on!

I looked around for her.

Gauri's POV

I was walking when suddenly I heard some glitchy music in my ear.

I was so confused until it hit me that I still have Shekhar's earpod on!

I looked around for him and soon spotted him and it seemed as if he was trying to find me as well.

We were about to walk towards eachother when suddenly a huge group of tourists swarmed the area. Where did they come from!

The music stopped. He must be out of range.

Shekhar's POV

Where did so many people come from?
I can't see her! My music kept playing cause my phone was with me only hence so I was still in range.

The crowd just seemed to get heavier. No doubt this is a famous street here!

"Shekhar!" I heard her
"I'm here!" I said as I waved my hands to help her spot me. Although I could not spot her.

Gauri's POV

I tried to move towards his side hoping I'll find him. The music started playing! A bit glitchy.

Slowly the crowd started to lessen as we walked further ahead.

The music getting less glitchy now and a bit more clearer.

And soon i spotted him and rushed towards. The music now more clear.

"Shekhar!"
He turned around and smiled widely
"Oh finally! Hahaha"
"Here. Your earpod"
He grabbed it and put it inside his pod container which then he put back into his hanging purse. Black in colour. With grey strap.

"Such a huge crowd out of nowhere"
I said
"I know right. You could get lost"
I looked at him
"I'm not a kid."
"Yeah but..."

He extended his arm a bit
"It'll be better if you held on. No?"
