I fell, hitting the ground hard. I groaned and tried to stand, my energy drained. I looked around carefully, I stood alone and surrounded by cold streets, with a deep breath I stumbled into an alley, leaning against a wall. I slid onto my ass and hugged my knees.
Is this it? Will I die out here? All alone and abandoned? Some people say that family is forever, not this time. There wasn't enough food for everyone, so I'm the one they kicked out, useless ol me.
I could hear the crunch of stones on concrete, tensing up, but too exhausted to run. I pressed harder up against the wall, trying to silence my panting breaths, a dark figure shadowed the alleyway, and I trembled in terror, taking a deep breath.
"If you don't fight, I won't kill you" the voice growled, bile in my throat as tears filled my eyes, I closed my eyes, holding back a sob, scared and unable to speak, even if I wanted to run I wouldn't have been able to.
I croaked in pain as sharp teeth pierced my arm the body crushing against me as they drank, she chuckled as she licked the wound and pulled away, licking her lips and tightening a rope around my neck, tying me to the wall. I stared in horror.
"So much easier to keep blood banks alive" she chuckled. "If you don't escape, I may even let you have water and food" she laughed, stomping on my foot, I cried out, sobbing at the helplessness of the situation.
"There, you should respond when I so nicely address you" she spat, leaving me alone. I trembled, feeling even more lightheaded.
I woke up, groggy and with a dry throat, looking to something glinting in the dim daylight. A water bottle. I quickly grabbed it and drank it down thirstily. Beside it was a plastic container, with chopped-up meat and vegetables in it. I quickly ate, crying softly. I tried to pull against the rope, my sobs getting louder. Exhaustion won out and I passed out.
I woke up, my arm sore, a new wound on it. I reached for the bottle and drank thirstily, seeing a new container, I devoured the food, trying to untie the rope. I paused at the sound of footsteps, stumbling back and trying to hide in the shadows, trembling.
"Why, if it isn't a blood bank. I did hear Cassandra found one" chuckled a voice. I gasped and pulled against the rope.
"Please, please, I've already been drunk from" I stammered, he moved closer, chuckling.
"I don't need your blood. That's the benefit of being a hybrid" he growled, that gold around his pupil telling me he was a wolf, but the purple eyes told me he was a vampire, I had no clue they could breed together.
"Are you going to kill me?" I whimpered.
"Maybe" he growled, I gasped, pulling against the rope and trying to get away.
"The human thinks she can run away from me" he purred, he laughed out loud, a snapping sound being heard.
"Get away, get away, I didn't do anything wrong" I whimpered, "I'm not in anyone's territory" I added quietly, the rope being yanked, sending me sprawling forward. I crashed and sobbed being lifted and thrown over his shoulder, I struggled and flailed.
"You're in my territory actually. A hybrid alpha is a lucky thing" he growled. "Now I get to decide what happens with you." He commented.
"Why me" I whimpered.
"Cassandra had a debt to pay, you are what she's decided to pay with" he chuckled, I fell limp, dangling over his shoulder. He headed into a building and pushed through a door, dumping me on hard ground. I cried out in shock and pain, he laughed to himself.
I scrambled to my feet, running at the door, trying to get the handle and yank it open, my arm sore from being drunk from.
Suddenly I was yanked back, unable to shout for help, a hand over my mouth, I struggled and flailed being thrown into a different room. I yelled out as I crashed down, a heel pressing down on my hand, I cried out, tears trickling down my cheeks.
