Chapter 7Tanushree dressed in a bright red lehenga choli, carefully tucking the pallu in her cleavage. As she applied vermillion to her hair partition, she felt a gaze on her. Turning, she found Abhimaan's eyes fixed on her. A warm blush spread across her cheeks, the intensity of his gaze adding an extra layer of intimacy to the moment.
She softly asked, "Do you need something?" Abhimaan smirked, replying, "You. I want you." A deeper shade of blush painted Tanushree's cheeks as his words hung in the air.
Tanushree raised on her toes, attempting to kiss him on the cheek, but he stepped back. "I have some work," he said abruptly and left, leaving a lingering sense of disappointment in the air.
She stood there for a while, her eyes misty. "He must have had some important work," she told herself, attempting to rationalise his sudden departure. Just then, Hema, her sister-in-law and Abhimaan's 26-year-old sister, entered the room excitedly.
"Bhabiii!!!" Hema called out, checking her out from head to toe. "You are looking so beautiful!" she exclaimed. "Let's go downstairs; everyone is waiting for you," she suggested, and Tanushree nodded, putting aside her momentary disappointment. Together, they headed downstairs to join the gathering.
As Tanushree descended the stairs, everyone, including Karan, Abhimaan, and Hema's 27 year old cousin, stared at her in awe. Karan and Abhimaan exchanged glances as the former one hooted.
"Bhabhi, you are looking drop-dead gorgeous," Karan exclaimed, expressing his admiration and touching her feet in respect.
Tanushree gracefully moved around, touching the feet of the elders. "Laado, you are looking so beautiful," Abhimaan's mother said, embracing her warmly. "Thank you, Maa," Tanushree replied with a grateful smile, feeling a mix of pride and warmth in the midst of the appreciative glances surrounding her.
She made badam ka halwa, and Karan and Hema served it to the family. Their grandmother, Alka, appreciated, saying, "Beta, boht accha bana hai," and presented Tanu with emerald jewelry. Abhimaan's mother gave her a beautiful gold kamarband.
Abhimaan's father, Rajnath Rathore, called Tanushree. "Beta, this is for you," he said, handing her a key with Audi written on it. Confused, she looked at him. "It's a car for you, bacche," he said, smiling lovingly. "But it's too expensive, I can't accept it, nor do I know how to drive," she said softly.
"No problem, we have plenty of drivers on our staff. But you must learn driving as well," he said, patting her head. She nodded. From behind, Karan yelled, "Bhabi, don't worry, I will teach you how to drive. Within a month, you would be drifting like Vin Diesel in Fast and Furious." Laughter filled the room, and Tanushree couldn't help but smile at the warmth of her new family.
Hema asked Abhimaan, who was carefully observing the scene unfolding in front of him. The expressions on his face revealed a mix of emotions, unsure of how to feel about all this newfound attention on his wife.
"Bhaiya, what did you bring for bhabhi?" Hema inquired, prompting everyone's eyes to shift towards him. Awkwardly, he responded, "I forgot. It just slipped my mind," a hint of discomfort evident in his words. The room fell into a momentary hush, leaving Abhimaan caught in the spotlight of forgetfulness.
Every ritual was successfully completed, and Tanushree received a cascade of expensive and extravagant gifts from both near and distant relatives. The air was filled with admiration for the newlywed, and the ladies couldn't help but express their awe to Abhimaan's mother.
"Your daughter-in-law is an ethereal beauty," they complimented. Abhimaan's mother graciously acknowledged, "Yes, she is, and her heart is even more beautiful. We are lucky to have her in our family." Tanushree's beauty became the talk of the event, her presence leaving a lasting impression on everyone who witnessed the celebration.
Later that night, Abhimaan and Karan found themselves smoking together in the open space balcony. Karan broke the silence, saying, "Bhai... please treat bhabi right. She is so innocent and kind. Please forget about Sophia and start your life anew with bhabi."
Abhimaan pinned him with his gaze, his response sharp, "You better mind your business, Karan. Don't tell me what to do." He extinguished the cigarette butt with his boots, leaving the conversation hanging in the cool night air as he walked away.
He entered the room to find it empty, his brows furrowed in confusion. Walking into the closet, he discovered Tanushree standing in front of the mirror, gently combing her hair. He felt captivated by the beauty before him, walking over to hug her from behind and resting his chin on top of her head.
"You... you have smoked," she asked in a low voice. He hummed in acknowledgment.
"Can... can you please quit smoking? It's dangerous to health, not good for your lungs," she softly pleaded, leaning against him.
Abhimaan smirked, his tone cold as he traced her neck with his nose. "It's none of your business what I do. Stay in your limits, darling," he said, his response leaving a chilly undertone in the air. He felt Tanushree stiffen, her face lost its colour. He smirked as he traced the curve of her neck.
Abhimaan sensually touched her back, unhooking her blouse with a deliberate and intimate touch. Tanushree moaned tightly closing her eyes.
He turned her around, and in a tender moment, he softly kissed her. The room held a subtle intimacy as the kiss deepened.
Abhimaan pulled her closer, “I want you, Shree," and bit her earlobe, she moaned losing herself in the moment. He threw her blouse before picking her up bridal style and walking to the bed, gently laying her down. He kissed her on her lips, moving his kisses slowly down her body, her collar bone, her chest and then he reached her breasts. She could feel her body respond to him.
“Abhimaan ji, do you love me?” She asked innocently as he unbuttoned his shirt, he smirked.

“It's not important for what we are about to do.” He threw his shirt somewhere in the room before crashing his lips onto hers. Tanushree was too aroused to respond. Abhimaan smirked looking down at her before pinning her hands over her head. He got rid of his pants and her underskirt. Abhimaan kissed the valley of her breasts, her navel, her lower abdomen and her inner thighs making her gasp and moan his name.
Abhimaan looked at her, his eyes were dark with lust and passion. He positioned his manhood at her entrance and roughly entered her. He thrust in and out of her with a steady pace. Tanushree was too high on Abhimaan to care for anything else. His rough thrusts, his kisses, his touch was driving her insane. They climaxed together as they rode out their orgasm together. Abhimaan rolled over and fell on the bed beside her. Both were panting heavily and trying to catch their breath.
Tanushree's head was buzzing. Abhimaan turned to the other side, his back facing her. She moved closer to him and hugged him from behind, resting her head on his broad back. Her eyes began to well up and tears fell down her cheeks. She was feeling betrayed, she felt used, she felt worthless. She sobbed silently, her tears wetting Abhimaan's back. “Why the fuck are you crying now? And get off me. I hate cuddling.” He roared.
Tanushree let go of him and sat up. He turned around and looked at her. “Pack your stuff, we are moving to my penthouse tomorrow.”
