Namaste
Chapter 17Tanushree and Abhimaan finally reached Shillong, stepping into the cool, fresh air. They boarded their pre-arranged car, which began its ascent up the winding hill roads. Tanushree was captivated by the lush greenery and the misty, ethereal views surrounding them. The endless trees, rolling hills, and the serene atmosphere made her heart flutter.
“Abhimaan, this is so beautiful,” she said softly, turning to her husband. “Thank you for bringing me here.”
He was focused on his laptop, typing away, but hearing her, he gave a small smile. "I’m glad you like it," he replied, before his attention returned to his work.
Though a bit disappointed by his lack of engagement, Tanushree chose to focus on the beauty around her.
As soon as Tanushree entered the suite, she flopped onto the soft, luxurious bed, letting out a tired but content sigh. Without wasting any time, she reached for her phone to call her mother.
"Hello, Maa?" she said as soon as the call connected.
"Arey, beta! Did you both reach safely?" her mother asked, her voice filled with concern.
"Yes, Maa, we just reached the hotel. The place is beautiful, you should see it!" Tanushree replied excitedly, looking out of the window at the scenic view.
"Achha, that’s good. Take care of yourself and Abhimaan, okay? Enjoy your trip!" her mother said warmly.
"Will do, Maa. I’ll call you later," Tanushree said, hanging up.
She then dialled her mother-in-law. "Hello, Maa, we’ve reached Shillong safely," Tanushree informed her.
"Ah, Tanushree beta! I was waiting for your call. How was the journey? Is everything okay?" her mother-in-law asked, sounding relieved.
"Yes, everything’s perfect, Maa. It’s a beautiful place," she said, smiling to herself.
"Good, good. Take care of Abhimaan and yourself. And also enjoy yourselves. Don’t let him work too much," her mother-in-law added with a chuckle.
Tanushree laughed. "I’ll try, Maa. Talk to you later." She hung up and lay back on the bed, feeling a sense of peace.
Soon she fell into slumber. Abhimaan entered the suit to see his wife asleep and he chuckled.
Taking off her socks he settled her properly on the bed and covered her with a duvet. Tanushree woke up in the evening to find the suit empty. She decided to take a warm shower.
She was just washing her hair when she heard the washroom door unlock.
Tanushree’s heart raced as she quickly grabbed the towel and wrapped it around herself. “Kon hai? Who is it?” she called out, her voice slightly shaky.
The door creaked open, and she turned to find Abhimaan standing there, wearing only his boxers. His eyes gleamed with amusement as he took in the sight of her startled expression.
"Relax, it's just me," he said, leaning against the doorframe with a smirk.
Tanushree's cheeks flushed. "Abhimaan, what are you doing here?" she asked, tightening the towel around her as she tried to regain composure.
Abhimaan walked closer, his gaze never leaving hers. "This is my room too, isn’t it?" he teased, his voice low and playful.
She tried to step back but was already pressed against the sink. "I-I was taking a shower," she stammered, her pulse quickening as he closed the distance between them.
His hand reached out, brushing a wet strand of hair away from her face. "I can see that," he whispered, his fingers lingering on her cheek before moving to caress her bare shoulder.
Tanushree shivered, feeling a jolt of warmth where his touch lingered. "Abhimaan..." she whispered softly, unsure of what to say.
Without a word, he leaned down, his lips inches from hers. "Mind if I join?" he asked, his voice a husky whisper that sent a thrill down her spine.
Tanushree closed her eyes as his lips brushed against hers in a feather-light kiss. A part of her wanted to stop him, but the rest of her didn't care. It felt right, like always, the way his body pressed against hers, his hands moving to hold her waist, his mouth hot and hungry on hers. She felt her body relax as his arms wrapped around her, pulling her close as they kissed.
A soft moan escaped her lips as his tongue pushed past her teeth, exploring the inside of her mouth. His hands roamed across her back, and she found herself kissing him back, her fingers tangling in his hair.
His lips moved lower, kissing along her jaw, then her neck, and down to her collarbone. He lifted his head and stared at her, his eyes filled with desire. "You're beautiful," he murmured, his fingers trailing across her skin, leaving a trail of goosebumps.
Tanushree couldn't speak; quickly he turned on the shower and picked her up , making her wrap her legs around his waist, before pinning her to the wall, making her moan.
Her hands slid up his bare back, pulling him closer as he kissed her again. She felt his erection pressing against her core, and she groaned, wanting him inside her. Her nails dug into his skin as he rocked his hips, grinding himself against her.
Suddenly, his mouth left hers and he started sucking at the tender spot on her neck. Tanushree cried out as she felt her climax building, her hips moving to match his rhythm. He pulled away, breathing heavily, his eyes filled with lust. "I want you," he said, his voice husky.
She nodded, not trusting herself to speak. Without another word, he pulled his underwear down his legs, then removed her towel completely, tossing it aside. She stared at him, wide-eyed, as he pushed his hips forward, his erection sliding inside her.
He held her tightly, one arm supporting her bottom, the other resting on her shoulder, and began thrusting. Tanushree gasped, her hands clutching his back, feeling his muscles flex with each thrust.
His movements were fast and rough, but she loved every moment of it. He bent his face to wrap his warm lips around her erect pebbles, kneading another one with his thumb. Tanushree could barely contain her moans as her body shuddered, the wave of ecstasy taking over her.
"Oh God!" she cried out, her body tensing as her orgasm hit.
Abhimaan growled, burying his face in the crook of her neck. "I'm gonna come," he grunted, thrusting faster. With one last thrust, he let out a deep groan and collapsed against her, his body shuddering with release.
Tanushree lay limp against the wall, panting. He looked up at her, smiling, and pressed his forehead to hers.
"Wow," he whispered, unable to think of anything else.
Tanushree gave him a small shy smile.
"Yeah," she breathed. She didn't know what to say after this, but Abhimaan knew. He kissed her again, his tongue gently caressing her lips. "Aren't you amazing, Tanu,” he whispered against her mouth.
After dinner, Tanushree was sitting on Abhimaans' lap as they gazed at the moonlit sky.
They were sitting by the pool area attached to their suite on a lounge chair.
“All we do is kiss and have sex,” she spoke, Abhimaan’s lips paused against Tanushree’s neck as her soft words broke the silence. He pulled back slightly, just enough to see her face, her eyes fixed on the moonlit sky. He could sense the heaviness in her voice, the quiet frustration she was trying to contain. She hadn’t looked at him, her gaze still lost in the vast night, but he knew her well enough to recognize the tears she was fighting back.
“It feels like there’s nothing else to our marriage, Maan.” Her voice cracked slightly, betraying the emotion she was trying to suppress. “Why can’t our marriage be like our parents’? Why can’t we connect like they do?”
