Namaste
Chapter 11

Tanushree had been avoiding Abhimaan for days, hoping to find solace in the quiet corners of their expansive home. As she descended the stairs in the dead of night, the weight of her troubled thoughts seemed to echo in the silence. The house was shrouded in darkness, adding to the eerie atmosphere that enveloped her.

With cautious steps, she made her way to the kitchen, her sole intention to fill a jug of water and retreat back to the safety of her solitude. But her plans were abruptly halted when she heard his voice, a low rumble that sent a shiver down her spine.

"If it isn't my wifey," his words sliced through the quiet, causing her heart to skip a beat. Tanushree froze, her breath catching in her throat as she turned to face him. Abhimaan was lounging against the couch, a glass of wine in hand, his figure bathed in the soft glow of the moonlight streaming in from the window.

Unable to meet his penetrating gaze, she looked down, her fingers fidgeting nervously. Every instinct told her to flee, to escape the intensity of his presence, but before she could make her escape, she felt him moving towards her.

Suddenly, she found herself pinned against the wall, her back pressed firmly against the cool surface. A gasp escaped her lips as his proximity sent a rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins. His scent enveloped her, mingling with the faint aroma of wine, and she struggled to maintain her composure.

"T-Tanushree," his voice was husky, sending shivers down her spine. She dared to glance up at him, her eyes wide with apprehension. The intensity in his gaze was palpable, and she found herself unable to tear her gaze away.

In that moment, the air crackled with unspoken tension, each heartbeat echoing in the silence of the night. Tanushree's mind raced with a myriad of emotions, uncertainty clouding her thoughts as she grappled with the sudden proximity of her husband.

Lost in a whirlwind of thoughts, Tanushree was barely aware of her surroundings when she felt a gentle touch on the nape of her neck. Startled, she froze, her mind racing to comprehend the sudden intrusion into her reverie.

Her heart skipped a beat as she realised it was her husband's warm lips caressing the delicate curve of her neck. A shiver ran down her spine at the unexpected sensation, sending a jolt of electricity coursing through her veins.

For a moment, she remained still, her breath caught in her throat as his lips lingered against her skin. The warmth of his touch seeped into her, thawing the icy tendrils of fear that had gripped her heart.

With each tender kiss, a wave of conflicting emotions washed over her. She felt torn between the desire to push him away and the yearning to surrender to the intoxicating closeness they shared.

In that fleeting moment, as his lips traced the contours of her neck, Tanushree found herself teetering on the edge of a precipice, uncertain of whether to embrace the dizzying descent into the unknown or retreat to the safety of her solitude. “Kya….kya kar rahe Hain aap,” She managed to let out.

Abhimaan's husky whisper sent a shiver down Tanushree's spine as he nibbled on her earlobe. "How long will you ignore this poor husband of yours, Jaan?" His words, dripping with desire, stirred something deep within her, causing her to clench her thighs involuntarily and close her eyes as a rush of heat flooded her senses.

Unbeknownst to her, Abhimaan keenly observed her reaction, his senses heightened by the palpable tension between them. He could feel the electric current pulsating in the air, drawing them closer with an irresistible force.

As Tanushree's body responded to his touch, her husband's lips trailed a path of fire along her neck, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake. In that moment, time seemed to stand still as they were consumed by the fiery passion that simmered just beneath the surface, ready to erupt at any moment.

Abhimaan's step back elicited a soft whimper from Tanushree, her body craving his touch. His questioning hum drew her attention, and she found herself breathing heavily, her lips inadvertently bitten in anticipation. Unaware of the effect her actions had on him, she struggled to contain the rising desire within her.

“Mhhmmm, tell me, what do you want, Jaan?” He said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ears.

However, the memory of the other day, when she had heard the name "Sophia" escape her husband's lips during their intimate moment, snapped her back to reality. No, she wouldn't succumb to her desires so easily, not until she felt truly desired by him. With a deep breath, she pushed aside her longing and resolved to maintain her dignity.

"I want nothing," she finally replied, her voice tinged with a hint of defiance, masking the turmoil raging within her. It was a silent vow to herself, a pledge to wait until her husband truly desired her, body and soul.

Abhimaan's grip tightened on Tanushree's wrist, stopping her in her tracks. "Tomorrow evening is our reception party," he stated calmly, his voice betraying a hint of concern.

Tanushree nodded, meeting his gaze with a determined expression. "I understand," she replied softly, her tone resolute.

Feeling his touch linger, Tanushree gently withdrew her hand from his grasp. "I'll make sure everything is arranged," she added, her voice steady despite the turmoil within.

As she turned to leave, Abhimaan's hand fell away, and he watched her retreating figure with a conflicted expression. "Take care…and I am sorry," he murmured quietly, his words barely audible as she walked away.
