Chapter Eight

Reina grabbed a practice sword and she went back to back with Gladiolus before they took a few steps away from one another. They then turned to look at one another before they went at one another at the same time. As their swords clashed with one another Noctis had made his way to be with his father and her mother. He looked at his father confused. "What's going on here?"

"I wanted to see just how strong Reina was, so she's going against Gladiolus."

"And the reason her brother is unconscious on the ground?"

"He attacked his sister and she kicked him into the wall." Mari stated

"Oh wow, she told me before that she'd get stronger as a demon but I didn't think she'd get that stronger." Noctis said shocked

"Reina will only get stronger than this, she's only a child right now. Her strength will cap out once she's twenty-one years old." Mari stated calmly as the trio saw how quick Reina was to dodge and intercept Gladiolus's attacks towards her.

Reina kept to the ground knowing that it'd be an unfair advantage if she used her wings against him, as Reina went to swing the practice sword her elder brother tackled her over and went straight for her wings making her scream out in pain as he sat on top of her. "These shouldn't be yours! I'm the elder one I should have had my wings before you! Give me the wings that I deserve to have you worthless brat!"

Noctis instantly went up to the duo and pulled Renzo off of Reina before he punched him in the gut. "Don't you dare touch your sister's wings like that! You're hurting her and could kill her!"

"Like I care! She wasn't ever wanted to begin with! I'm the only damn person my parents need!"

Noctis just glared at him before he went to Reina helping her up. "Rei...are you alright?" He asked concerned

"T-That's the second time today he's done that. My...My wings are so tender right now. T-They hurt Noctis."She said through her sobs

Noctis pulled her into him and kissed the top of her head softly. "It'll be alright, your brother is just a big jealous jerk."

Reina nodded her head as Mari had dealt with Renzo, Renzo had been taken out of the room by his ear and thrown into a windowless room. Where he was going to be locked in for the entirety of the time he was in the human kingdom. When Mari came back she went up to the duo and looked at Reina sadly. "I apologize that your brother did that to you again, he obviously doesn't learn sweetie."

"I...I know and I don't blame you. He has a lot of issues mother." Reina said sniffling a bit

"Let me see your back sweetie." Mari stated

She nodded her head and turned herself so her back was to her mother, her mother placed her hands at the base of her wings only for her to hiss out. Noctis held onto Reina's hands lightly which helped Reina out as she leaned her head against his chest. "Ouchie mom....T-That hurts."

"He really did try to rip your wings out sweetie. Your wings are on the verge of breaking off, you're going to need to wait for them to heal to use them otherwise you will hurt yourself." Mari said with a sigh

"I really hate that he keeps doing that." Reina said sadly

"I know sweetie, I know. You have about a month of dealing with this before you're able to change back into your usual self once more." Mari stated, she then looked at Regis "The school Reina goes to has a uniform doesn't it?"
